I was expecting this press statement from Mr Amaju pinnick,I was utterly suprised when I read Mr Damlong statement about Nigeria's participation at the Olympics,I think people in this country have long term memory deficiency,if not Mr Damlong should be the last person in Nigeria to condemn Mr Sunday Dare. Mr pinnick will never forget Damlong in a hurry,I'm sure he was waiting for mr dare rebuttal and when the minister didn't reply he decided to do it on his behalf. Damlong sowed the terrible seeds of disunity, maladministration in the sports federations all over Nigeria, from athletics to basketball, even football,he was desperate to impose his cronies all over the sports federation, and the tree is what Nigeria harvested at the Olympics. I hope people like Damlong never come near any position of leadership in Nigeria again until he repents of his myopic, and debilitating style of leadership. Rubbish 1 Like |

robosky02: But the population of sane citizens in San Marino is more than the population of sane citizens in Nigeria in terms of percentage of population.. There’s corruption in every single sector in this country.. From presidency to all ministries to house of Rep/assembly to Police to Law enforcement people to school to governors to chairmen to councilor.. All across Nigeria.. In San Marino, things are not like that.. Nigeria may never get better, not because Nigeria as a country can’t but Nigerians as a citizen can’t change.. 3 Likes 1 Share |

robosky02: Guy shut up, the Olympics is not a do or die affair, it is just to participate and the dream is not to win. As big as India is, they just got their first Olympic medal this year, but u guys are just bitter about life about everything. Why don't u look at some bigger countries who came to the Olympics without a medal. But every opportunity to disparage your country is what sounds like music to your ears. Cut yourself some slack, enjoy the bright side of life. |

Just imagine the shame, a country like Nigeria with millions of people population won just two medals while countries with nothing went back home with lots of gold and other medals. I know much has been looted as a result of this Olympics, that money would have been enough to build new sport and training infrastructures for future games. But who cares, we're in Nigeria. Congratulations in my a*s

Lucas4903:You are very stupid....if that is the way you think, then you have an issue. Do you think the countries that invest billions are stupid or they don't know what they are doing. Just last week, most of the papers in England had the headlines which clearly celebrated the fact that Great Britain doing so well in the Olympics has boosted the economy. People are buying more and spending more just to watch the olympics....get your fact right and stop saying its not a do or die affair. You ask the athletes competing and tell them its not a do or die affair. People have invested four years training and you are saying its not a do or not affair. 1 Like |
