Some youths in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday clashed with Fulanis around Rukuba Road.

The clash reportedly led to the death of scores of people.

DAILYPOST gathered that some buses were carrying Fulani heading towards Rukuba Road while Irigwe people and other sympathisers were waiting for the corpses of six of their people who were recently killed by suspected herdsmen in an attack for funeral before the fight broke out.

Spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ogaba, said, “Yes, there was unrest at Rukuba Road of Jos North LGA.

If this will bring peace and stability to the Plateau. Then it must be encouraged.

What we should discourage is this elitist behavior of Fulanis thinking they have the monopoly of violence.

They've struck in the space of one week - Benue, Kogi, Enugu, Ebonyi and parts of Ondo and Oyo states. Just one tribe.

No arrests by the army or police.
They need to be challenged and defeated by our collective Southern will.

Shebi Buharia said people should defend themselves against the fulani. Well, it has started. Kudos to the Plateau youths. They are now speaking to the fulani in the language the understand.

It's sad that we have to address grievances like this.
