The Nigerian equivalent, Boko Haram, would someday - with the help o& their brethren, Al-Shabaab, Taliban, Al-Qaeda, et al., - take over Aso Rock.

Biden was right about Afghanistan

Remaining there will amount to wasting American Soldiers, Resources and endless wars when the outcome will always be the same. Afghan soldiers and people gave up without a fight, so why should expect others to fight for them after 20 wasted years.

As a wiseman once said " It is time to go home"

All Muslims support Islamic Rule.

All these hypocrites still rush to Islamic country like UAE, Emirates like Afghanistan.

It's funny though. I don't think Islamic rule is the re issue here. I think they want the Americans gone!

Devastating!!! Effects of corruption.

I just watched Mahbouba Seraj and Wazhma Frogh talking and can't hold back my tears. The innocents will suffer most from this fall out. This world is just broken!

This is like Homeland and other counterterrorism series except that this time, it is real.

At times I cringe at the premonition and accuracy of some of these series.

Oluwa si oju anu re wo wa!

coolTanx. The real truth is that Pakistan/India battle for supremacy over Kashmir is more important than religion in the eventual victory of the Taliban. Pakistan won. Equally the Iranians do not want the US in the Persian gulf. So the US cud never win.

This is a show of shame
What's the US doing about it
For how long will US keep Afghanistan safe?

if the Talibans have decided to destroy their country, let US allow them.

Enough is Enough.

they will later realize the amount of damage they have done to their country.

Taliban has taken total control of the country. This would have happened during GeJ, Boko haram jihadists would have taken over the Government because the North was totally in support of it.

If boko haram was popular in the North, then the very least that would have happened is that the country would currently have been in a state of civil war

boko would have definitely been in control of the 'North' and the South would have been battling for it's freedom

on the contrary, North was against Gej's government because it failed to subdue boko haram and was seen as unserious about fighting the group

There needs to be crisis for America to sell weapons. No war, no return on investment. The USA survive on war, to make crude oil price to jump up, sell medical and pharmaceutical products, sell military hardwares , get contract for mercenaries etc. Tactical withdrawal was a tactical business game plan.
Watch events as they unfold in few weeks to come.

They are still going to fight one another for supremacy... It is the nature of man. There is going to be rivals.... Some will say they are been cheated and will rebel against others.... And that may leads to the division of the country... All of them, same goal but different ideologies..!!

UAE is the wisest kingdom among all the nations in that region. No religious sentiment in their policy and governance yet practice their religion.

Nigeria is different from Afghanistan. The Taliban succeeds in Afghanistan because majority of the populace share their religious identity and/or ideaologies.

In Nigeria, if Boko Haram capture Aso-Rock, they will only be able to rule over the core North and this will speedily leads to disintegration of Nigeria.

You are far from the truth.

The North share same interest irrespective of religious beliefs.

Ahmed and Paul in the North are one. They will always put their interest first. It's not like the South were you have this division.

Re: Taliban Fighters Have Taken Over Afghanistan's Presidential Palace (Photos) by Maj196(m): 3:55am On Aug 16, 2021
All those saying this will happen here are just big fools. The Taliban were able to do this because a vast majority of them supports it and shares their beliefs. Well 99.9% of them are also Muslims. Nigeria is a heterogeneous society coming together as one. Even the North doesn't support nor share their belief. So that will not come into fruition.

This is what happens when there is no capacity build up. The politicians where busy dwelling in corruption by stuffing their pockets fat and forgot to strengthen the army. They were lazy depending on foreign forces.

We all knew this day will come and some countries in Africa toying with terrorists and bandit will meet their Waterloo soon.

If you did not watch Osama's interview you will think his actually a terrorist when the real terrorists are USA who Invaded a disciplined sharia society with their sick evil western laws, causing war in Afghanistan and middle East while robbing them of their oil resources so anyone who dared challenge the western terrorist government of USA, they will be tagged terrorists, Osama said US support Israeli occupation of Palestine and killing of children who threw stones at the invaders after tagging the children terrorists up till today we see US evil collaboration with Israel to further exterminate the Palestinians. A victory for Taliban means Justice and vindication for Osama Bin Laden. He should have killed more Americans in 9/11. His indeed Great and Admired! God bless the Taliban and all Martyrs of Justice.

Honestly, this will in one way affect us in Nigeria expecially those in northern Nigeria. Talibans and Bokoharam or iswap have the same agenda which is to islamize everyone.

They want islamic control state. Who knows the reason behind this recent surrendering of Bokoharam. It might be another strategy to infiltrate into Nigerian army or system.

Talibans will empower and motivate this already problem we have here.

To be honest with you. The world will regret American decision to remove Trump. Talibans will spread their missions to other part of the world.
absolutely right...... They will funds terrorism at all cost... Claiming they are helpings theirr brothers
