I stopped using MTN in 2012 or thereabout and switched to Airtel and it's the best decision.

Yes, I still own MTN as a second line, but I hardly use it.

At the beginning of this month, I subscribed for 20GB on MTN and enjoyed it because I didn't monitor the consumption rate.

Yesterday, I sub'd again and they gave me my main 20GB and 4GB YouTube.

As the bonus-giving company that they claim to be, they gave me another 20GB for browsing and 4GB for YouTube as bonus for 24 hours. I must finish this 24GB in 24 hours. Not a bad challenge.

I needed to sleep, so I clicked the button to update all my apps and went to sleep.

I woke this morning, and noticed both of my 4GB YouTube bonuses are now 2.2GB each. I didn't even watch a single YouTube video. Why is MTN like this?
