A socio-political group, Rescue Nigeria Economy Project on Tuesday said Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation has all the qualities needed to govern a vast multifarious and multi-ethnic nation like Nigeria in 2023.

The group, in a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Dennis Alamu-George, said at this point in Nigeria’s history, a very honest leader like Amaechi, who will tell the people the honest truth about where the country was and where he intended to take it to.

While commending the Minister for being one of the architects of dynamic and positive change in the country, the group said Amaechi has demonstrated leadership capacity right from a very young age which has seen him occupy the position of Speaker, Governor, Minister and Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaigns for two consecutive periods.

“Having watched closely all manners of names that are being propped up as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023, we are convinced that what Nigeria needs right now is a bold, courageous and forthright leader who can take the bull by the horns and ensure the right thing is done always”.

“The country also needs a result-oriented leader with a proven track record that can sustain and consolidate the gains recorded by the current administration, especially in the area of infrastructural developments”.

“:That is what Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi represents; a strong link between the older and younger generations. His record of public life reminds one of the accolades given to former Super Eagles skipper, Jay Jay Okocha by the British Press. They said ‘So good they named him twice’.

“So good was Amaechi that his colleagues in the Rivers State House of Assembly unanimously elected him Speaker twice for eight years. So good was he that the people of Rivers state elected him twice as their governor. So good was he that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed him twice in 2015 and 2019 to head his presidential campaign and he delivered on the two occasions”.

“If indeed Nigeria needs a presidential material who will is independent-minded, knowledgeable about the intricacies of Nigeria’s politics and will not be tied to the apron strings of any godfather, then Amaechi is the rightful person that possesses all these characteristics”.

“ As someone pointed out recently that only a northerner can win the presidency for PDP, we also make bold to say that only a southerner can do same for APC. The stakeholders need not look any further because the highly resourceful and detribalised Amaechi is the right candidate they are looking for”.

“If indeed, they are looking for a Southerner who is a Christian to take over the baton from President Buhari, then Amaechi perfectly fits the bill. His influence cuts across all the six-geopolitical zones in the country” the group said.

The solution is freedom. Are you Nigerians not thinking, what is wrong with your brains. Britain recently left EU even when EU pleaded that they should not break away, but they refused and left EU because they want to be free and be independent. But you Nigerians keeps supporting Britain to keep u all as slaves and milk you dry while the politicians wrecks the economy and milk you too. This is called neocolonialism... go and read about neocolonialism. Save the future generation and do this. Nigeria has long ended since 2014. It will keep getting worst than this. Your only solution is Biafra Republic and Yoruba nation (Oduduwa Republic)

Referendum for freedom is the only solution.

Amaechi is not fit to head a local government area talk more of a country like Nigeria.. it's to put Nigeria up for sale to the highest bidder so far money enters into his own pocket.

Wike laid some heavy allegations bothering on money laundering against him and I wonder why noone is talking about it. With all his white elephant projects and 'monorail to nowhere' scattered all over Rivers State.

Amaechi is a good man with a good heart. He's just a victim of being a politician in a shithole country. More importantly, Amaechi can never be a weakling like Osinbajo. I hate to see good people without courage in government because it's utterly useless.

Nigeria doesn't just need an intelligent leader but someone who will bold enough to step on toes. That's what Amaechi represents. Lastly, he's the second-most successful politician from the South South zone after former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Watch from the 8 min mark. Wike said he had banks statements and bank account numbers that showed Amathief stole $308 million dollars from Access Bank the proceeds of the sale of the state turbines. The state judicial panel also indicted him as well.
