Whenever you talk Nigerians into paying tax they will go and recruit bloggers to be writing nonsense for them. All they want is free everything, but will be quick to ask why Nigeria is not like America.
If Nigeria leaders behave like americans, Nigerians be happy to pay tax.
Individual american doesn't generate his water, power, etc. He has police standby and they'll respond when he calls them.
This is why americans are different.

Seun would this affects Nairaland too??

It won't as long as he keeps to the regulatory compliance policies that NITDA have provided.

You need to read the NITDA policies and the associated NDPR to see how it protects the subject.

A lot of people's data have fallen into the wrong hands because it is being sold.

Exactly. Albeit, this time around, it has nothing to do with tax but the effecting the policies in place and the penalty involved.

Yes the country might not be the best but we need to understand that some of these policies protects the common man out there.

Talk about the loan apps and their companies sending you unsolicited text messages of people owing them.

Some you don't even know who they are.

Dumb animal, NITDA is not a revenue generating agency. You fools should leave partisan politics aside and engage your brain for once.

Are you sure you are not engaging him wrongly? cheesy You might in the same side but approaching the matter in a wrong way.

They want to start there companies in Kenya ,Ghana or South africa .

Buhari has finished the country once and for all.
Yesterday we have seen a programmer said the same thing.
I have been on YouTube for 2 months now and learning digital agency set up for website design. If I can get 2-5 companies to sign up for website redesign jobs per month and monthly SEO retainer, I will be good...

the reason is because I see things getting worse except they FIND someone who will calm the tide in 2023...if we fail in 2023, Nigeria will be buried completely.

You and your father that know what ICT is, are both of you better than buhari in any single thing?

Why did u take his comment personal? He was referring to the so called old men in power and you're raining abuses on him. Are u an APC zombie? And how come the old men you're defending didn't invite u for Buhari's son's wedding??

The jihadists are attacking all genuine means of livelihood. They ban crypto currencies, anti innovation policies, crippling of fintech start ups...but the same government is actively pursuing an agenda of cattle routes and cattle colonies.
The APC jihadists government is weaponizing poverty and hardship and they are targeting it at the middle belt and southern states. Close borders in the south while fulani jihadists and all manner of goods are smuggled (?) Into the country from Niger and Chad. While the government handle the administrative aspect with hash targeted policies the fulani jihadists terrorist herdsmen carry out the field work by killing innocent farmers and anyone in their path, they burn down entire villages and occupy the place after sacking the locals.
Imagine one blockhead from Jigawa formulating tech policies for the entire country.

If you are not into anything shady, I don’t think you should be worried. Everything needs to be regulated and I am sure America also has such an institution put in place.

This government is scared and afraid of competition by youths.

Regulation can be positive or negative. The Apc government which is notorious for its love for poverty to suppress and control the masses like they do to themselves in the North is trying to bring down the country with all manners of bad and negative regulations. If not who are the stake holders involved in deciding these new regulations and their effects b4 they even become a bill?

What we have in government now are sadistic criminals trying to frustrate development rather than guide and nurture it.

let's be honest with ourselves. The tech space is in much need of regulation. It is because the tech space is unregulated and unchecked that's why u see these digital loan companies sending unsolicited messages that defame ones character to your contacts when you default on a loan. The space is in much need of regulation. Let's tell ourselves the truth. Mind u before u come and say I'm a northerner I'm actually a southerner and an enlightened one for that matter.

as you can see the federal government is interested in nothing but extorting these companies and having some oversight into their affairs in order to play politics and stage hostile takeover of these companies.

excessive and reckless regulation stifles growth and innovation, this has always been the norm the world over. there is a reason why the USA, not the EU, is home to some of the world's greatest startups and innovations.

this is hausa-fulani muscle flexing at its highest. no brain, no input, no positive addition, just brawn.
