Hello everyone, it’s been a while here, hope everyone is doing alright??

I will be done with my nursing program this year and I’m ready to start applying for jobs. I need assistance on what areas in England are good in terms of decent cost of living. I currently reside 30mins from central London and the rent is crazy this side. Please what areas are affordable to live in and with good pay rates for nurses?? I’m thinking towards Birmingham, Wolverhampton, the midlands generally while being open to other options as well.

Don’t read and pass please!
Try North-East of England

Nope

There is tragedy occuring daily in the world, people die in conflict in the tens of thousands daily. And people die in 100k daily ( don't quote my statistics). It us impossible to keep up with caring for everyone.

I have long decided to only care about my personal circle (naija/UK). Anything else is too much stress.

...and your dear leader Putin.

If you don't care about thousands of innocent people getting slaughtered by Putin why then are you concerned about #killputin?

Ah pele.
Big cities are trying to go green so they charge you daily for driving in low emission zones.

To avoid this you need to buy a ulez compliant vehicle or avoid driving in those zones.

Easiest way to avoid any stories is to get a Tesla, or recent hybrid/electric cars.

Welcome to the future.

Me I am still looking for 6.2/6.3 litre C63 w204, the engine itself is a beauty to look at.

You imply that current Ulez compliant cars that are not electric or hybrid will also likely suffer in the next few years, right?

That is what I'm thinking here...rules will likely be updated to phase out these cars over time.

There are already some rules in place to phase out non-electric cars. There won’t be production of new ones from 2030. Used ones will still be available, but the green zones might keep expanding.

Please don't start this. Someone even committed murder because of this. Gambling can ruin one's life. It always starts as "just for fun".

That the start of self denial...... its just for fun . Hopefully yours isn't self denial cool

If its really for fun then it can be avoided. This UK its very easy to spiral down a dark path and here no helper. Everyone carries their cross jejely.

So what you can avoid, habits that can cause trouble or had to stop , best to run/avoid

Buying a car in UK can we talk about what one should look out for?

A friend got a Diesel car yesterday unknowing to him that there is something called Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ).

Can we advice ourselves on what to look out for, where to buy a car and things to check on the car.

I feel others should not make such mistakes.

For new comers, target either old age petrol cars or diesel cars from 2015 to fit into ULEZ zones. Also from the road tax banding, you will have an idea of emission values.

Always check MOT history and the advisories, Insurance cost on 2 more websites like confused.com and money supermarket
Tax cost
Test drive and see if it feels right
Also, don't get attached to a car by their name or naija knowledge. There are loads of cars here and you will always find yours.

Hmmn, so does most gamblers or addict say oo. Doubt there is any restrictions for students though as long as you are not spending loans etc.

Exactly and they enable it so much from all those radio programmes etc. You just think the money is not a lot till you start paying 3pounds everyday. Funds that can be saved or diverted, not in this age of rising living costs

We have a saying in my village. I know it will be lost in translation. No offence intended. But it roughly translates to:

If the speaker (sayer of the words) is a fool; it doesn’t imply that the listener (hearer of the words) is foolish too.

The double standard is very glaring. If it is someone they like, their supporters will shout that it be banned. As long as the rules do not apply to the leaders of the US, UK and NATO, why should it apply to Putin?
They banned RT claiming it was spreading disinformation or propaganda even though despite several complaints to OFCOM in the last 4 years, they have not been fined even once. Watch their media and most of what they spew can be interpreted as propaganda too. If Nigeria does it, it's censorship. The day we try as much as possible to be objective and just, they world become a better place. Look at what Canada did with the protesters recently, this was a country that tried to punish Nigeria for the endsars.

As a psychologist, I will suggest MSc. psychological well-being and mental health as this put you at a minimum of band 6 position as a CBT therapist or psychological therapist.

With MSc. psychology, you will require specialisation and getting higher pay, a doctorate is required. This degree can get you assistant psychology position of band 4 or 5.

However, some CBT position also request for MSc psychology degree but not all.

Hello,

I know this question has been answered a few pages back but i am just catching up

Does it also apply for Mental Health nursing?
