Mayorkun Leaves Davido Music Worldwide (DMW)

The afrobeat star popularly known as The Mayor Of Lagos, Mayorkun has parted ways with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) owned by afrobeat global phenomenon Davido.

No official statement was released. Davido didn't share the singer's new song on his Instagram page like he does for all DMW artistes.

All Davido Music Worldwide Artistes songs are distributed by The Plug Entertainment.

Mayorkun's new song music video has no DMW logo.

The new song Let Me Know was released on a new record label imprint, SM Entertainment West Africa Limited and distributed by Avante Digital Concepts Limited.

nigerians sha, so from your house you think you know better than the artist himself, he has lawyers that advises him on every step he takes, he PR team, a manager, professional advisers that he pays to help him influence his decisions and you think you just know better than him, it's really laughable, if you are calling names why didn't you call Wizkid that left his record label, Burna boy, etc

but this is not even a fair judgment even from a layman point of view, the only two Nigeria artist to have won Grammy left the record labels were they had breakthroughs, so why in particular do you think he will fail? Is it that all the artist that left their first record labels always fail or mayorkun doesn't have the right team to succeed outside the dmw, you don't just say stuffs, you must have a point before arriving at such conclusion, so what's your point ? Why do you think he will fail? I would like to know please.
