In a free and fair election with the electronic voting, 70% of the serving politicians up to the national assembly won't return in 2023...both pdp and apc alike. All we will see would be mixture of all parties representing us because people won't decide who serve or represent them across the party lines anymore but based on merit.

That's a man willing to do the right thing, the real change. If he wanted to organise a local govt election where winners would take all just like his counterparts in PDP controlled states, the opposition parties in the state wouldn't even partake in the election because they would have seen the handwriting on the wall.
The change mantra doesn't need to favour you, you just need to be ready to embrace the outcome no matter what, just like El Rufai is doing.

So people actually believe Rufai will allow that to happen if it's not his plan This plan is getting clearer with this and people are yet to get it.

North wants to retain power in 2023 and PDP is the party they can easily achieve that. This result is a precursor to what they have in mind. By next year, the Northern Political gladiators would have caused enough trouble in APC and then decamp to PDP where they will all pull their resources in supporting a Northern candidate.

You can't just win in the home of a Bigot like El Rufai. He is using this to tell his supporters that it is time to go PDP ways.
