These people are mostly PPC members. They are reacting violently because they support PPC and hate anything Liberal. People often see them as racist party that doesn't like immigration, Covid measures, social policies e.t.c they are equivalent to the MAGA crowd in the US. They were few in number in the last election, but it seems they have now gained more supporters.
