It was really an error to have discarded the original War Against Indiscipline program particularly the weekly National environment .
The bulk of Africans are indiscipline lot.

And I thought Makinde is one of the best governors in this regime.

Bros, they are talking about Ogun state

Makinde is for Oyo..

Note the difference.

These pictures are even tolerable. Here in Awada, Anambra state, the refuse dumps have become part of the environment. No one bothers about them anymore.

[quote author=AnanseK post=105599554]Ogun State is trying, but no city will ever beat Aba in filth, the world over . Governor Sam Mbakwe didn’t cry for nothing .
Bros na d problem wey dey kill us for this country... We are trying to raise a motion on the underdevelopment and filth of Ogun State, and you are busy bringing aba in Abia state
Abia carry overall first position for the league, but Ogun should be better than because of their prominent people in every sector of Nigeria; economic, spiritual and political. Abia is quite waterlogged compared to Ogun, for Abia to have a facelift massive drainages must be constructed before any form of development takes place. It's different for Ogun, private individuals/ companies have offered to construct better roads but the government are insisting on the money being given to them so that they would on behalf of these companies construct the roads ( I am speaking for Sango, I don't know of other localities in Ogun). Small rain na traffic jam.

Who even started this roadside dumping of refuse in Nigeria. We need to find that person and give him some slaps.

If you go to Aba or some part of Enugu, you will marvel. Port Harcourt is also becoming dirty since Wike sacked the contractors.

Question I have been asking.
Who started this keeping refuse in the middle of the road?
States like Akwa Ibom and Cross River, you dare not drop anything unless at designated areas and at approved time .
That way, no matter how long it takes for the refuse to be evacuated , it stays within a certain area, not scattered along the whole length of the road

Sango and tollgate is an eyesore... Dirt's and decayed roads.
Directly opposite the Gateway Hotel and at the Ilo-Awela Road to the toll-gate junction, it is the same story of filth. Even the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) premises in Ota is littered with dirts and heaps of refuse which are indiscriminately dumped at various spots at the garage, including the road.
Shame on the Government of Ogun State.

the gov'nor is not interested in removing waste from the street, he's only running after the once generated by companies as those are his cash cows.

Are the citizens going to eat the refuse? They have made provisions for bins in their various residences and business, collected the waste, then made it available for central pick-up and disposal. At that point, the duties are transferred to the government either directly or indirectly.
The bad roads in the same ogun state, the residents too are not supposed to expect the government to provide roads abi?
