I was wondering why property owners in Lagos writes one year rent as 11month?

Paid on 1st of October 2020

Rent supposed to expire 30th of September 2021

Now, the property owner is saying rent expire 2nd of September 2021.

Is this one year? Or another type of fraud.

How do I convince the property owner that its not upto a year rent but that's 11 months.

I will appreciate if move to front page

It's not 11 months per se.

The rent starts counting from the month you paid.

Rent normally start counting from the month you paid to the before that month. say you paid in june 2021 then your rent is due may 2022

That one na your broke landlord format.

My landlord give me 1 month free on top say make I settle down first. Time for renewal, he even forgot to remind me. Na me dey call them for phone say, "Oga, my rent fine expire. How do I pay?"
