Why is fashion important?

Fashion is a big thing in our society. It can be hard to pinpoint exactly why this is, but I think it has something to do with individuality and feeling good about yourself in the clothes you wear. When you look at celebrities and other fashion icons, we see them wearing beautiful clothes and we want what they have. But sometimes we don't know how to get that style for ourselves or maybe we just don't have the money to spend on nice clothes. If you're someone who wants fashion in your life but doesn't know where to start, this article is for you! Here's how I learned about fashion:

Great Places To Start

Start by looking at your favorite celebrities' wardrobes, seeing what they wear on a daily basis. A good place for this would be Pinterest boards dedicated solely towards their outfits or googling "celebrity style" at Google Images (it sometimes brings up some weird pictures though). Click links that interest you most and see if there are any websites dedicated specifically towards these people's outfits. That way when there are new posts/pictures of their outfits out, it'll show up on your feed! Don't forget social media sites like Instagram too—they post pictures of themselves all the time! You'll get an insight into their lives as well as what they wear everyday/on certain occasions! Go through old photos of yourself from high school or proms etc. I need to buy some accessories and shorter tops for my prom next year, so I'm going to find some old photos and see what kind of things I was wearing!

Things To Know

When looking at clothing, you should know the difference between quality and designer. Quality is just the name of the manufacturer who made it. A lot of big brands like H&M and Forever21 sell high quality clothing that looks exactly the same as designer brands like Gucci or Louis Vuitton. Not only that but they usually sell better than them too! So don't be afraid to buy from these places —they won't make you look cheap (unless you wear a shirt with "Forever21" printed on it in huge letters). Designer clothes are very nice, but if you can't afford them don't worry about it! You could also buy clothing from small independent designers who aren't as well known as others; this is a good way to get unique things no one else will have! One thing I noticed about quality-made clothes is that they can last longer than other clothes because there's more stitching/heavier fabric etc. It's great not having to buy new stuff all the time because your old stuff ripped or something got stained on it—just wash your favorite shirt in cold water with Woolite once every few months and let it dry by itself on a hanger instead of putting it in the dryer—and just keep wearing your favorite shirts over again. It saves you money and the clothes last longer! Another thing is that you should wear what makes you feel good. If it's a shirt from Forever21 but everyone says it looks cheap, then don't wear it! Wear what makes your feel happy!

Where To Buy

If you're in a city with a lot of shopping destinations, you're in luck. Just go into stores and ask for help if something doesn't fit right or is too expensive—sometimes they'll give you discounts or lower the price for some reason. Maybe they have items marked down because the tags are faded or small stains on them? In any case, they might let go of them for less than their original price, so ask around first before buying something new (unless there isn't anything like that available). If shops aren't your thing though (I personally don't like buying clothes online), search "discounts" on Google Images to see if there are any stores near where you live offering them; I found this great website called Rue La La where I'm gonna buy all my prom outfits (and other nice stuff)! They sell designer things at huge discounts sometimes up to 90% off—you just have to wait for certain days when they put out new items.

This is a great way to look great and save money at the same time. Don't be afraid to wear casual clothing! Even if you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt, it doesn't mean you can't look good. You can dress up your outfits with different shoes, jewelry or accessories that you already own! I hope this helps some of you out there looking for fashion help!
