Retired Nigerian Police officers gathered in front of the National Assembly, Abuja to protest against the Contributory Pension Scheme.

The protesters stated that the scheme is making officers wallow in poverty as they are earning poor pensions after serving the nation for 35 years.

Nigerians reacts to the video of the protest.

Many of them protesting abused human rights, killed innocent people and hindered people from protesting while serving, but now the table has turned. They should enjoy the corrupt system they represented while serving.

Yes, you're right. Good and bad people everywhere.

But are the good ones speaking up and calling the bad ones to order?

Empty barrel makes the loudest noise, if the level of bad things we see daily are that much, then even me and you won't be alive.

The protesting ex policemen should be shot at sight, after all they were against protests in their active days.
Whatever goes around, comes around.

These are just the pawns, who take orders from their ogas at the top.

Although it doesn't exonerate them from the evils they have also committed in their black cloaks.

These should send a clear message to those still in active, but I doubt if they will see it from the angle side of "What goes around comes back around", rather they might even be more vicious than their predecessors and sink more into the abyss of corruption, extortion and abuse of power, even reinvent more ways to perpetrate evil.

We will all be consumed in these chaotic-rotten system we have all encouraged to fester

Everyone deserves to be happy. A labourer is worthy of his reward. These people are parents who have children to look after, families to take care of and also they themselves. I pity some pensioners. It breaks my heart when I see them suffering even to eat. This is not just the retired police officers alone but also to other public servants.

However, a lesson to those in active service whose paycheck is reasonable enough, you should invest and save for retirement.
Mr man shut up there

FG should send armed military troops to disperse them, with shoot at sight order incase they do anyhow.

Thunder fire their retired big heads. No peace and mercy for the wicked.

Who would believe same water will be used in cooking fish.

When these dirty things were in service, they're enemies of peaceful Nigerian masses fighting for a better Nigeria.

Nigeria armed forces are one of the enemies of this country. We blame the government but a government cannot execute it's evil plans without the backing of armed forces. Infact, any government only has authority with the powers of armed forces.

Just give a Nigeria uniformed man gun, he starts feeling like God immediately. No civilian is safe around him anymore.

Same corrupt military, police, dss etc doing dirty jobs for government. Same military used for lekki massacre after their fellow masked solider warned them. Killing innocent young Nigerian protesters fight for the good of everyone of us.

Let us make this country a better place, you all refused. Now, animals in zoos abroad live better than a typical Nigerian masses.

To even go on the street, no one is safe, frustrated drug addicts, hungry, diry teens with tatoos everywhere with hidden weapon ready to strike same way they struck Mr. Balogun.

Some people can run abroad but can all 180 million Nigerians run abroad?

Why do we like behaving and living like wild animals when God created us human beings. Shame on Nigeria.

It shall never be well with leaders who made this country the mess it is.

God bless assess you.i hate all force people, they are the main problems and causes of our plight.they make our poitician feel like gods.they gave them the wings to do as the please.just start up a peaceful protest against any of our politicians,it is this people that would come and shoot you aside claiming the are protecting the law and other or defending the country's integrity.if Nigerians then were allowed to protest then in the 1990s and 1980s our problems and country would not be like this today.our political don't respect us, thank to our forces.they are not scared of us and take our mornings are complains as nothing because the have the forces to suppress us down with baseless claim of restoring law and other and protecting integrity.during the lock down, you just have to see the way force personal treat scape goats who sneak out to guzzle for food to eat because the force people has guarantee their salaries are coming end of month.wickedness. The gave our politicians the wings to maltreat us.if you think you would earn force salaries forever your children or children's children would be civilians. thank you grateful heart, yuo spoke what I wanted to speak long time ago I am grateful All our forces especially the useless green uniform wearers are useless cowards

Please what's the essence of having a pension scheme..if at the end of your service one will have to protest or sweat to get his/her hard earned money.

Why not scrap the scheme and allow everyone to manage his/her pension money with banks....but should only be accessible from your choice of bank whenever you are done serving.

This pension scheme is even looking like a scam to me.

You are going to continue wallowing in hyper poverty and pain unless if you never collected #50/above from our drivers and okada riders @your checking points or you never received bribe or used innocent citizens as pawns to enrich your pockets.
This has come to pass even in the life of your collegues that are yet to retired ( asee).

Singing....What goes around comes around, what goes up must come down.....If only those overzealous ones in service would learn from this and join their fellow Nigerians to demand a better country from these vultures and leeches called Nigerian politicians, failure to do this will mean them carrying placards like these ones here in the future.
