What is the basis for comparism? Every country in the world has a slum. Besides, most of these settlements are occupied by immigrants. I would rather be in a slum in American than to be in a city in Nigeria where bandits and Boko Haram are having a field day while the government looks away.

I would like to see a slum in Norway.

Which tax?

How much of your monthly income goes to tax?

How much is not the issue

Taxes that are been paid in Nigeria
Still Nigeria is still delapitated

Do you know how many unemployed people live in this country?

Have you asked your self
Why do young Nigerians keep running outside the country for greener pastures ??

How can you say how much isn't important?

You want to compare a 9% tax to a 34% tax?

Then you must pay health insurance?

Is This America or Is This Oshodi?

Welcome to Philadelphia, USA, where walking zombies, many homeless, poverty-stricken, high on meth, codeine, crack, heroin, and other deadly drugs, fill city streets!

Many pack guns underneath their shabby clothes, so you dare not start an argument with any of them or it's goodbye Mama!

The America CNN will never show you!!!

Commentor, if you know much Nigerians pay as taxes you will surprise

The massive population of Nigeria alone makes it elaborate that taxes paid in total in Nig is high

Let's assume its 90% like you said
Then where are the infrastructures, basic amenities?

Instead the opposite is the order of the day
looting of public funds

If they can use the money generated in Nig judiciously

Then Nig will be a better place to live in

No body absolutely will want to leave the chores of Nig for Europe

But Nig is desolate.. God heal our land

I can least at least 20 countries in Europe alone without slum, no kidding. And even their own version of "slum" can never be compared to the US version. And even more sad that the US it the world largest economy, and richest.

And no, those slums are occupied by Americans mostly, not immigrants. Same way most prisoners are Americans not immigrants. America is fukced. There is no other way to slice it.

...most prisoners are Americans, not immigrants.

Pardon me, I haven't been to America before, but this seem to negate the general propaganda that most of those in prisons are blacks. Or are the blacks, who are said to make up the population of prisoners in America not seen as immigrants?

Nigerians pay tariffs as found anywhere else in the world but we don't pay income tax as the rest of the world.

If you've ever lived in the Western world you would understand it.

America has changed. I can tell you that for a fact. And nobody should come for me please. You see, the pandemic really affected America's economy negatively. There is a shortage of a lot of things lately including labor shortage. America also sent many of her jobs abroad, think China. A lot of Americans have been migrating out of America in the last couple of years. Many oyibo americans have moved to South and Central America, Asia, Africa and some to Europe. It's just that the mainstream media is never interested in reporting white people migrating but are quick to broadcast when blacks or Africans migrate. America is living in her past glory. Oh well!
