Rivers state can easily afford to pay back that loan but Nigeria with the falling value of crude oil which is the mainstay of the country cannot afford to pay back the loans with the profligacy of our politicians and the falling national reserves unless something drastic is done. 25billion is nothing compared to trillions of naira. I can borrow if I can afford to pay but borrowing without knowing where the money to pay will come from is sheer madness. That is why the president went to do babiala for the international community begging for loan cancellation yet seeking for more loans ain't that a thing?
