Hi, if the steering pump is leaking oil, in most situations the consequence is to change it.
I'm not sure about the oil filter thing as concerns your engine leakage but there are original oil filters available in my store

@ nisspart,

I pulled these codes - P1448 & P0455 from my 01 infiniti qx4 today. Pls kindly advise on what to do. What effect would this have on the vehicle? The vehicle still drives smooth as ever. Infact, I cant seem to sense any symptom! I just decided to do the scan cos I didn't want to ignore the 'service engine soon' light.

5w30 oil is N2500 per litre and 10w40 is N2000 per litre.
Transmission oil is N2200 per litre
I dont have the differential fluids nor the timing belt in stock.

Thanks.

I'v replaced the tank cap but the warning light is still on. Pls, how do i get d light off?
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 8:32am On Dec 10, 2012
You need a code reader to erase it.
You can either get that done at a mechanic for around 10k or buy a code reader for 25k.
Alternatively, you can disconnect your battery for a few minutes to reset the car computer, just that you wont know what codes you have with this method.

Hmm...maybe a short circuit somewhere?
A good electrical technician will have to look at it

Hi Nissparts, I have some issues with my Nissan Sunny, 2008 model, Manual transmission. The engine starts and I can change between gears, but it does not accelerate. No matter how I press the throttle either when the car is idle or moving it does not even work. The engine sounds very alright and its never had any fault before. This started last nite after work and I couldn't drive it home. Please what do you think could be wrong? I'm really hesitant to call any mechanic to have a look at it.

Yababoy, a scan will point us in the right direction.
That's what scanners are made for. To prevent trial and error and time wasted chasing shadows.

My nissan xterra came out with the following codes U1001 CAN COMM circuit, fuel level sensor P0463, P2122 APP sensor/ circuit and finally, P2138 APP sensor. My electrician said I should change the turtle sensor which didn't work. He is now saying I should change the brainbox. Kindly decode the above reading for me. Is it true that the brain box should be changed?
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 4:21pm On Jan 23, 2013
This usually points to the accelerator pedal sensor.
It's either that or the throttle body
Re: Nissan/infiniti Parts Store On Opebi Road by nissparts(m): 4:30pm On Jan 23, 2013
That's the throttle body

Nissparts I need your help
Drive a Nissan Maxima 2000 model
Bought a air filter from you last year
My cars fuel consumption has gone up badly. 2weeks supply now lasts 5 days
Ran a diagnostic check an it threw up the code P0141 HO2S2 HTR (B1)
Checked online and the oxygen sensor was implicated
Learnt the catalyst was removed, the exhaust pots was changed 'no show'
They then changed the plugs, no show
My observations now:
When idle car revs fine, but stutters at rpms less than 1500
When driving the engine finds it difficult to accelerate, when you then throttle down hard, you hear this exhaust 'blow-out' sound intermittently
What could be wrong, what do I do
