Fall was the first Nigerian song to go Gold while Essence is the first Nigerian song to go platinum.
Davido has two songs certified Gold, FALL and If and they are almost certified Platinum too.
Korede Bello's Do as I do was also recently certified Gold in the US

Nope. Wizkid's come closer is the first Nigerian song to be certified Gold.

Come closer was certified Gold in US in September 2020 while fall by Davido has been certified Gold before then. I think it was IF that was certified Gold after come closer

A simple goggle research will show that this is not true. Come closer got certified Gold first.
