Victory on both sides! Tell them! Even the president, Yakubu Gowon, at that time admitted that there was no winner!
For a tribe to face well equipped Nigeria for 3 years, no be moi-moi!

A developed country would have invited them! By now, Nigeria would have world class weapons by now but bad bellle no gree them grow!

Buhari that was at the war on quota system level that only saw the war from one angle no let us hear word!

He was given another chance to right his wrong but unfortunately he has managed to proof those that said he has air problem right!

Buhari has no wisdom at all!

That 'NO VICTOR NO VANQUISH' Was just a euphemism to console the Biafranistan losers.

They were mercilessly beaten to surrender.

cool

This is the best summary of it all, war is not the answer, zoning is not the answer, Succession is not even the answer. Dialogue! Dialogue!! Dialogue!!!. Some people will think it's weak but it's the strongest tool.

War game commentary turned hunger games tragedy

Negotiating a Country break up requires technocrats, economist and strategist and not brainless violent men without thoughts

Ojuckwu's Biafra starved till they surrendered because they failed to plan for basic supplies

South Sudan, never planned well and they became broke instantly even with Oil

Brexit are just finding out in a brutal way that most people they accuse of taking their jobs from poorer EU countries where only doing the major labour of their economy like trailer drivers and logistics

the war will be taken to south west this time.

The day a war breaks out in the SW, thats the day nigeria ends. With all that's happening in the north, East, it's because the SW is relatively peaceful, especially Lagos, that's why you still have a country called nigeria.

Also, if war breaks out in the SW, that's a very good chance for Ipob to strike hard. Nigerian armed forces can't fight Islamic terrorist in the north, Ipob in the East, Shiite in Abuja, and a war in the SW. That's why I'm always pained when SW politicians play second fiddle to those reetardded Northerners. Nevertheless, I hope a war breaks out in the SW, anything to end Nigeria is welcome.

From 1966 coup to the counter-counter coup and then the civil war changed the socio-polical dynamics of this nation. Things got a little bit better by subsequent government until 2015 when fido dido came on board
Sure that is what your elders told you? Things got a little better but Fela was able to become a legend singing about the suffering & smiling of Nigerians, ever heard about Austerity measures?

He is correct, the system builds for lazy unpatriotic citizens, NYSC should be replaced with 1 year military service, 10 years from implementation, Nigeria will reposition itself in the G20.

I read it. There's nothing there for me.

What if he discusses the war with a retired veteran?

How does that change anything though?

What if he listened to the radio during the war?

This man was a senator for at least 4 years, he didn't raise a motion to create a national memorial for the war or something if it really touched him.

A few years after his foray into politics, Nigeria is closer to another war than ever before.

Now that he's no longer a senator he's clout chasing

Not cool.

Why will he not be interested, the Bruce family are from Bayelsa state, which means he was a Biafran...........again most people do not know that ben bruce's eldest brother Micheal Bruce flew 1 of the 5 Biafran airforce aircraft fighters that were converted from crop dusters ............he had every right and reason to follow the war! You ignorant Nairaland subs should read wider.

Igbos were massacred in the North following the Nzeogwu coup that killed Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello and other prominent Nigerians except those of Igbo origin, they declared biafra and turned on Southern Nigeria, killed people in the Niger Delta, bombed Lagos and other South West cities but didn't step foot in any Northern State.
I find this intriguing and I'm yet to figure out the rationale behind it.
