But are you aware that a Ministry's bankruptcy can be triggered by deficiencies and loopholes in the public procurement and awarding of contracts as well as misappropriation of fund by the head of Ministry?

The ministry is not bankrupt. Except Nigeria goes bankrupt, no federal ministry can go bankrupt. Btw, this has nothing to do with procurement or contract award. It is simply a shortfall in the budgetary provision for personnel cost.

Add Bitcoin to the list. Malami trades Bitcoin with LaToken and Twitter with VPN. Very irresponsible guy!

Now he's flying around the world with that (Fura da nono-brain dead-lean stick-super Almajiri) plague we have as President to lavish & hide assets around the world all in the name of meetings. The same judgement that befall both Abba Kyaris will be Malami's fate. Time will reveal these things.

Not surprised. Malami's narratives have exposed him to be a very corrupt and arrogant spoilt brat, who is full of nepotistic views. PMB assembled a bunch of corruption enablers to do his biddings. Borrowing everywhere for his thieving friends. Justice ministry officials should take heart. Lai Muhammed's turn is coming. They are the reasons FFK had go back to his vomit for stomach infrastructure, since it is an all comers corruption affair. Burutai is enjoying his own quietly. Goje and his family are not bothered by all evidence against them. EFCC, under Ribadu's watch went after thieving politicians irrespective of party, while many of the governors were saved by the immunity clause, few were politically disgraced, prosecuted or forfeited sizeable portion of their loot. Under PMB, they go after Yahoo boys, jumping over fences in the dead of the night.

And they keep on justifying borrowing to finance budget. Although corruption is not limited to one tribe but the northerners are super bcs their kinsmen will not even challenge them instead they will keep on giving them rankadede!

They haf use money to sponsor terrorists finish.

It bothers me that Nigerians are not asking what these people are using the money they are borrowing to do.

Something tells me that these people are arming their "soldiers" in the rainforests of the south in preparation for the civil war that Dr Obadiah Mailafia mentioned in 2022.

Tuscano jets dropping bombs in the south in 2022.

I wonder what Tinubu/Osinbajo apologists as well as One Nigerianists will say then.

This is not a case of corruption but poor budgetary provision. MDAs only get the capital and overhead components of their budget and not the personnel component. The personnel is managed by IPPIS in the Office of the Accountant General. So, saying it was mismanaged by the ministry is absolute rubbish. It happened to about 30 MDAS in 2019 I think including my office so it’s not unusual. How can a ministry even mismanage what they don’t have control over?

It’s either the ministry did not make adequate provision in the budget for personnel or they recruited some bee staff during the year without previously budgeting for them. Whatever the case is, the management of the ministry should be blamed for poor planning.

When cases like this happen, the service wide vote would come to the rescue. They should simply apply to the minister of finance to help bridge the personnel shortfall for the remaining months through service wide votes.

Thank you for these, also those the ministry pay salary or the FG does?

That's Northerns for you. They only complain about corruption when anyone but them does it.

Just look at the huge list of stolen looted wealth. Now what would irk you is that none of them would speak up against this. Had it been an Edo, iboe or Yoruba man those guys would be screaming southerns this and that upon this and that Sunday Igboho this and that. It's unfortunate but at times I agree with the secessionists , With the Northerners Nigeria can't progress at all.

Just look at all the wealth he stole like other northerners before him, yet he didn't build factories to employ his youth so they turn away from bandits and terrorism no. Instead he built event centers , mansions and rubbish. But tomorrow they will tell you it's Sharia . Small wonder why upon all the years of looting the Northerners have looted Nigeria , yet the North is still the most ravaged region by poverty and diseases

this the the true position of the whole event. My agency might not be able to pay December salary due to same shortfall which was caused by budget office and ministry of finance for lac of fund. Personnel budget were slashed God knows y. But Sahara reporters knowing how gullible some Nigerians are are writing rubbish because of the witch-hunt against malami.

no one have access to personnel fund in the ministry. So procurement and any contract whatever comes under Capital. I don't like malami but he's not to be blamed on this but the budget office who keep slashing personnel budget , my agency inclusive

This is not exclusive to the Ministry of Justice but cuts across almost all MDAs and the true reason behind this is because of mass recruitment of northerners every year since 2015 into the Federal Civil Service from where they are placed on grade levels far above their qualifications and competencies.

The northerners have destroyed the civil service beyond repair and have turned it into a glorified welfare scheme for their relations and kinfolks.

Nigeria's Ministry Of Justice Under Attorney-General, Malami Goes Bankrupt, Exhausts 2021 Budget, Unable To Pay Workers' Salaries - Sahara Reporters

Did you actually expect anything better from a M0R0N and a Sharia trained quota system lawyer who has no knowledge of the law to even begin to give advice and opinions on legal matters to the President and the Ministers and to the heads of the executive departments and agencies of the government, as provided by law? Absolutely NOT! Just like his FULANI brethren, anything that he touches or engages in, dies or goes bankrupt.
