Keep in mind that this is only appearing in a comic book....not a cartoon. The content hasn't appeared in any animated versions of the Superman cannon yet.

Also, comics of that type these days are more likely to be bought by adult comic collectors than children.

This is not true. The DC enterprise especially has an agenda to promote LGBT & Feminism in their contents for all age-groups.

On DSTV channel 301 (Cartoon network) there's this program DC girls of something that has Wonderwoman, Super girl and some other female superheroes. This program is not age-restricted and I was shocked to see blatant kissing between the ladies, some of the characters were talking about boyfriends and expressing romance! Kids of even less than 5 years old watch channel 301 all the time.

DC legends series, although age-restricted, brazenly promotes lesbianism & bisexuals. DC's Supergirl series promotes female supremacy as Supergirl is projected as stronger than Superman in the series.

It's obvious DC is on a catch them young spree and they are not hiding it at all.
