What is Jizyah? It is a kind of Islamic poll-tax which is upon persons, not upon properties and lands. In other words, Jizyah is a yearly poll-tax. The main philosophy of this tax is that the defence for integrity, independence, and security of a country is the duty of all members of that country.

Therefore, if a group of people in such a society practically undertake and fulfil that duty, while some others, because of being busy in their own occupations, can not take part in the rows of soldiers, the duty of the second group is that they pay the expenses of the strivers and protectors of the security in the form of a poll-tax every year.

Thus, a poll-tax is simply a kind of financial support which is paid by the People of the Book instead of the responsibility that Muslims undertake with the purpose of supplying security for their lives and properties.

But there are still about 20,000 of them in Turkey. 20,000 of them. They were killed. These were people who used to be all over the country. They were killed until now there's only 20,000 of them. If you go on YouTube, you'll see where I preached to them.

So these are people they hold true to the original faith of Christ; that Christ taught when he was on Earth. They don't believe in all these trinity, and praying to Yeshua (Jesus) and all of that.

But here's the thing, at that time, they had something called "the Holy Inquisition" and you can just research it... Don't take my word for it... Go and research it... Where for instance, they'll catch you and say:

"do you believe in the trinity?"

If you say NO, you'll be tied, they'll put a fire. You'll be burnt in that fire. Or they might put you on a stake. So that was how they wiped out away the pure Orthodox Christianity from Europe. They were killing people, they were doing a lot of things. It was a horrible thing.



If christians had stood to Christ teachings all this mess might not have happened. At the time of Muhammad the Catholic church was the one the time and they represented Christianity as a whole, I repeat if christians had stood to Christ teaching all this won't have happened..

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the last messenger and the Qur’an revealed to him the last revelation of God to mankind. He was the seal of the prophets(khatam al-nabiyyin) and was sent as mercy for all creation.

The Qur’an says: “ And We havenot sent you but as a mercy to the worlds” (al-Anbiya’, 107).
As such, the Prophet’s task was as much to rectify, reform and endorse, as to initiate, create and originate, and as much t olook back – and at the present - and put things right, as to look forward and chart futurecourses.

The Prophet had to fight for some reasons. His fighting was defensive and preventive.It was a means of general striving, safeguarding and upholding the truth, justice and freedom.

Moreover, his warfare engagements were even-handed, moderate and principled. While in Makkah, the Prophet experienced first-hand the meaning, working and brutality ofinjustice and persecution. He was eventually expelled from his home and property justbecause he refused to yield to oppressors, remaining faithful to the ideals and principles of his struggle.

However, having migrated and settled down in Madinah, the Prophet was not to be left aloneand in peace. The forces of evil never slept and were always on the move, unceasingly conspiring and working against the truth and whoever adopted its ways. Conspiracies andmachinations of infinite kinds and degrees abounded.

They still originated from Makkah butwere increasingly assuming a wider regional character. Later, as the voices of the truth grewlouder and its foothold in the region came to be ever more conspicuous, the scheming anddownright physical threats became yet international in essence, with the Byzantines andPersians standing at the forefront of the new developments.

Unholy alliances, involving the Makkans, numerous hostile Arab tribes, the Jews, hypocrites,and later the Byzantines and Persians and their proxies, were increasing in number andstrength by the day, applying more and more pressure on the city-state of Madinah. Withoutfighting, dignified life for Muslims in Madinah would have been untenable, not to mentionthe prospects of conveying the truth to the world and building a civilization.

The enemieswere set on placing a yoke around the “neck” of Madinah and its Islamic project, graduallythen tightening it up until the peril of Islam, the Prophet and Muslims was done away withforever.An excellent illustration of the situation was the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq) in the 5thyear after the hijrah (migration). The battle is also called the Battle of the Confederates, asthe Quraysh of Makkah, two prominent Jewish tribes, and a great many other Arab tribestook part in an attempt to invade and destroy Madinah.

The size and strength of theconfederate armies were so huge that Muslims could not fight them. As a military strategy,therefore, Muslims dug a trench which together with the city’s natural fortifications kept theinvaders at bay, rendering their military might essentially useless. The siege of Madinahlasted 27 days, following which the invaders retreated. The strength of the invading armies isestimated around 10,000 soldiers, while the Madinah defenders numbered 3,000.

It was because of all this that not so long after arriving in Madinah, the Prophet and Muslims were permitted to fight and defend themselves. Enough was enough. Criminals had to beconfronted and their spreading of mischief on earth stood up to. What is more, Muslims wereduty-bound to do so, in that passivism, inertia and non-assertion in the face of outrightdangers, rife oppression and persecution are both un-human and un-Islamic. Fighting in thecause of Allah and His truth was deemed the best and most meritorious deed.

Apart frombeing good in itself, fighting also promoted and facilitated good, pitting it and the truthagainst evil and falsehood on equal terms and on a level playing field. Dying while fighting isacknowledged as the most recompensing act. It is the finest form of martyrdom.

The Qur’an reveals, for example: “Permission (to fight) has been given to those who arebeing fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give themvictory. (They are) those who have been evicted from their homes without right - onlybecause they say: ‘Our Lord is Allah’. And were it not that Allah checks the people, some bymeans of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, andmosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support thosewho support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. (And they are) those who,if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is rightand forbid what is wrong. “And what is (the matter) with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and (for) the oppressed among men, women, and children who say: ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city ofoppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us fromYourself a helper’? Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelievefight in the cause of evil. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan hasever been weak.” (al-Nisa’, 75-76).“Would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the Messenger,and they had begun (the attack upon) you the first time? Do you fear them? But Allah hasmore right that you should fear Him, if you are (truly) believers” (al-Tawbah, 13).

Striking a balance between peace, dialogue and fighting The Prophet fought the Quraysh of Makkah, some other hostile Arab tribes, the treacherousJews, and the Byzantines and their Arab proxies.

In all, there were twenty something majorand minor battles. The Prophet participated in nine of them. Nonetheless, his non combatactivities vis-à-vis the same categories of people greatly surpassed his battles. The formerconnoted a rule, choice and predilection, the latter an exception, necessity and aversion.For instance, Madinah, especially at the outset, was a multi-ethnic and multi-religious city-state in which Jews, among others, occupied a noteworthy position. No sooner had theProphet arrived in the city, than he composed the Constitution of Madinah. In it, he referredto all the integral groups as “one community (ummah)”. They formed “one and the samecommunity as against the rest of men.”

The Constitution established all groups in the irreligions and possessions, assigning to each of them their overall rights and duties. According to the Qur’anic message: “God does not forbid you to deal kindly and justly withthose who have not fought against you about the religion or expelled you from your homes.God does not love the unjust people. Allah only forbids you from those who fight youbecause of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion – (forbids) thatyou make allies of them. And whoever makes allies of them, then it is those who are thewrongdoers.” (al-Mumtahanah, cool

The Prophet furthermore conducted regular dialogue sessions with the Jews, Christians,polytheist Arabs, hypocrites and Bedouins. His mosque in Madinah was often the epicentre ofevents. When famously a Christian delegation from Najran, a city in southwestern ArabianPeninsula, visited the Prophet, he met them in the shades of his honourable mosque. Their number was 60. They were led by a group of their priests. When the time of one of theirprayers was due, they were allowed to pray right inside the mosque. This way, the mosque, which functioned as a community development centre, was as well acentre for promoting mutual understanding, tolerance and unity. It was the first activecentre in history for interfaith dialogue and cooperation.The Prophet also sent letters to many rulers of the world, informing them who he was andinviting them to Islam as the only truth. At the same time, the letters were his tokens ofgoodwill.

Of the kings contacted were Heraclius the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire,Chosroes II the Khosrau of Persia, the Negus of Abyssinia, Muqawqis the ruler of Egypt,Harith Gassani the governor of Syria, and the ruler of Bahrain
The text of the Prophet’s letter to Heraclius was as follows:

“In the Name of Allah, the MostGracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad the slave and Messenger of Allah toHeraclius the ruler of Byzantium. Peace be upon those who follow true guidance. I call you with the call of Islam. Become Muslim and you will be safe, and Allah will grant you a two-fold reward, but if you turn away, upon you will be the sins of the Arisiyyin (peasants i.e., hisfollowers and subjects who would follow him in non-belief). “Say (O Muhammad): ‘O People of the Scripture (the Jews and Christians), come to a wordthat is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associateanything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah’. But if they turn away,then say: ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims (submitting to Him)’’’ (Alu ‘Imran, 64).

The Qur’an insists on wise dealings, affable relations, good counsel, constructive dialoguesand debates - before anything else. There is no place whatsoever for duress and coercion inthe provinces of promoting, embracing and enjoying the truth.

The Qur’an commands: “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in away that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, andHe is most knowing of who is (rightly) guided” (al-Nahl, 125).“And do not argue with the People of the Scripture (the Jews and Christians) except in a waythat is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say: ‘We believe in thatwhich has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and weare Muslims (in submission) to Him’” (al-‘Ankabut, 46).


There is no law of killing those who leave islam in the Quran. If anyone was killed there reason might be more than leaving Islam.

You don't need to lie to defend your religion , stop that act , it is evil .

Christians were persecuted for their faith and were fed to lions for people to watch in Rome. But , did they take up weapons to fight back ? No.

But Muhammad started killing innocent souls to spread Islam
After his death , Abu bakr , the first Caliph , started killing people by attacking nations to spread Islam , which they called Jihad.

Battle of Khyber took place after a betrayal of Jewish people.
They agreed with Muslims that, they will defend Medinah together with Muslims, and they will not support the enemy.

But they violated their trust and they supported pagans of Mecca, against Muslims. They wanted to wipe out Muslims from earth. But Allah had different plans, for Muslims.

Muslims became victorious, against pagans of Mecca. Then they asked those Jews to accept punishment for their crimes.
They were defiant and took shelter in the fortress. It took several days for Muslims to win the battle.
After the victory, Jewish people became captive to Muslims.
Prophet Mohammed asked their leaders to rule out their punishment according to Torah. They said killing.
Then prophet Mohammed, asked them to accept Islam, so they will be free.
But those proud Jews refused to accept Islam and they asked Muslims to kill them. Few Jews were killed in that regard and most of them were freed later.

After the battle, prophet Muhammad married the daughter of the Jewish leader. She became a bridge between Muslims and Jews.
She was very loyal to her husband and Muslims. She never felt that Mohammed was wrong, despite she lost her husband and father in the hand of the Muslims.

When Khalifa Omar, went to Jerusalem from Medinah to take over the city from Roman empire. He took a Jewish camel jockey. They traveled together around nine hundred kilometers, without any bodyguards!

That Jewish camel jockey never tried to kill the Khalifa, nor any Jew came to kill him in the lonely desert path!

Jews were restricted to enter Jerusalem by Roman Catholics. Muslims allowed them to enter Jerusalem freely. And later Jews defended Jerusalem along with Muslims in the crusades.

It proves Muslims weren't wrong in the battle of Khyber. That battle justified.

Muhammad's goal is to get wealth and women .This was primarily why he kept attacking people in the name of religion .
It was for earthly gains and not for saving lost souls.

We visited him for the second time while he was building a wall. He said, A Muslim is rewarded (in the Hereafter) for whatever he spends except for something that he spends on building."

But you are not wise to link this to Islam since the main reason for the war was not primarily for material gains unlike Muhammad and Islam.

Battle of Khyber took place after a betrayal of Jewish people.
They agreed with Muslims that, they will defend Medinah together with Muslims, and they will not support the enemy.

But they violated their trust and they supported pagans of Mecca, against Muslims. They wanted to wipe out Muslims from earth. But Allah had different plans, for Muslims.

Muslims became victorious, against pagans of Mecca. Then they asked those Jews to accept punishment for their crimes.
They were defiant and took shelter in the fortress. It took several days for Muslims to win the battle.
After the victory, Jewish people became captive to Muslims.
Prophet Mohammed asked their leaders to rule out their punishment according to Torah. They said killing.
Then prophet Mohammed, asked them to accept Islam, so they will be free.
But those proud Jews refused to accept Islam and they asked Muslims to kill them. Few Jews were killed in that regard and most of them were freed later.

After the battle, prophet Muhammad married the daughter of the Jewish leader. She became a bridge between Muslims and Jews.
She was very loyal to her husband and Muslims. She never felt that Mohammed was wrong, despite she lost her husband and father in the hand of the Muslims.

When Khalifa Omar, went to Jerusalem from Medinah to take over the city from Roman empire. He took a Jewish camel jockey. They traveled together around nine hundred kilometers, without any bodyguards!

That Jewish camel jockey never tried to kill the Khalifa, nor any Jew came to kill him in the lonely desert path!

Jews were restricted to enter Jerusalem by Roman Catholics. Muslims allowed them to enter Jerusalem freely. And later Jews defended Jerusalem along with Muslims in the crusades.

It proves Muslims weren't wrong in the battle of Khyber. That battle justified.

[2:190] Al-Baqarah-الْبَقَرَة
"وَ قَاتِلُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ الَّذِیۡنَ یُقَاتِلُوۡنَکُمۡ وَ لَا تَعۡتَدُوۡا ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ لَا یُحِبُّ الۡمُعۡتَدِیۡنَ ﴿۱۹۰﴾

Then if they attack you, kill them (in defence), for that is the right penalty of (such aggressing and combating) disbelievers.

Rescue us from this town whose (affluent and influential) people are oppressors, and appoint for us some guardian from Your presence, and make someone our helper from Your presence’?

[4:76] Al-Nisā-النِّسَآء

By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.

By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
