*THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA WILL BE CHOSEN BASED ON CREDENTIALS, NOT TRIBE OR RELIGION- Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim* It seems the imbroglio on where the Presidential candidate will come from in 2023 has been resolved in the opposition PDP. The consensus Party chairman, Dr Iyorcha Ayu, said it will be opened to all qualified party members irrespective of where they come from. This is how it has always been and this is how it should be. I am confident that the APC will do the right thing too concerning this matter as it did in 2014. Despite the fact that Chief Odigie Oyegun, former Governor of Edo state was Chairman from the South, that did not prevent Owelle Rochas Okorocha from contesting the Presidential Primaries. Going forward, debates on the immediate future of Nigeria as it concerns the Presidency should be about the antecedent, character and programs of the aspirants. It should be about how to manage the economy, create jobs, unite the country, secure every inch of this land and issues that will improve the welfare and conditions of All Nigerians, not about tribe or about religion.
