Absolutely, if the leaders resolve to punish this type of allegations and others related impunity without fair or favour.

They shouldn't have used an individual account for the payment of the test, the agency ought to have an account in the case of network failure for accountability.

What the authorities at the Nigerian airport should have done is provide a computer where people could connect and pay online, or provide a POS that people can use to pay directly into Federal government’s account. A QR code should also be given to them so that they can take it to the test center and to act as evidence of payment.

When I was coming to Nigeria from the Netherlands, the airport authorities there didn’t allow me go into the boarding area until I showed them my QR code. They said the Nigerian government requires that I have paid for the PCR test before I can enter Nigeria. I had to pay for the PCR test there and then at the airport. And the good thing was that the website works. The site works very well. I was able to pay and get my QR code before they allowed me go into the boarding area.

Apparently there are some countries that do not enforce that passengers going to Nigeria must have the QR code before they board.

Same way the immigrations at the passport office at Ikeja not far from Shoprite were asking applicants to be paying 45k passport fee into private accounts.

This happened just 2 months ago when I came to Lagos to visit a friend and he went to renewed his passport and he asked if I don't mind we just cruise there together I was shocked to my bone marrow at the level of rot in that place.

Nigeria lost it completely in our quest to get solution to the already rotten system we ended up bought a very very ad market called Mr fake integrity.

Ignorance and yeye Journalism in Nigeria.

Many inbound travels would purposely not filled the online form and pay for the required fee for the test and you can only allow entrance after paying for the covid post arrival test.

So at the airport, some travels always claim they don't know how to make an online payment or refuse to make use of their

1. Debit/credit card for the online payments.

Over Sabi or helpful immigration officer would provide their account number and card which can be use for the online payments on the NIPTA website.

The difference in 1K , may be the guy is using it to offset his bank charges.. As paystack or the online charges from 200 and above.. Last last the guy makes 500+ gain..

If you check the said Williams account statement, you would see the debits all going to the travel portal.

Help Don become something. The immigration should just send them back or Any person coming without the payment or force the airlines not to pick them from their places of departure.

We adhere to rules and all laid down regulations in foreign countries regarding to the covid restrictions, but the simple way to protect our people.. We float the rules.

Thank you for this.

Many folks come without the QR code , and at such there are required to fill the form and make the payment for the post arrival test.

Some do not have a naira card or do not want to pay online. Some zealous immigration officer to accept transfer and make the payments for them online, This is just to allow flow in of passenger's than to course backlogs or waiting for clearance.

Each countries have criteria for entry now.

And there has been no high profile scape goats.

That is why these problems persists.

By the time you investigate their head of all those agencies and their high profile subordinates, jail a few of them for very long years, the others will learn.

Useless country i remembered in 2005 i have this good friend of mine in the US called Ann i met her in yahoo chat room and has a good heart and she was giving me $300 every month for 10 years to support me but she died in 2015, i missed her so much, she gave me $2000 for my house rent in 2005 and it was a sunday and banks dont work so i decided to use the western union inside murtala international airport, then they use to allow everybody in but now you must show your passport with the visa in it before being allowed access, that sunday my cousin adviced he drives me there which was my saving grace, after the transaction a changed the dollar to naira then i guess dollar was 127 to the naira, on our way out immediately a some police officers held me by the trouser calling us yahoo boys insisting i settled with 100k, my cousin then called a top police officer in panti, he asked us to give the phone to the policemen which we did, they were later begging me for 5k, i non give them shishi, THIEF CRIMINALS 4 NAIJA

Corruption in every sphere of the country.

Can you just imagine this wickedness and calamity
Like wtf! shocked
Everything to them is MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!!

*HOME TRUTH*

*On every level, Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria*.
Read along to understand our reasons for saying so......

I run a manufacturing business and a trading business.
The biggest challenge in my manufacturing business is not power, or infrastructure, the biggest challenge is getting honest staff.
Everyone we hire appears to be on a mission to steal as much as possible.
Inflated invoices, recording less than the actual number of units produced.
The worst part of it all is that all the fraud we've uncovered is not done by a single person, it's usually many staff who collude with each other, from production, to sales, to finance, even top management.
There was a year I overhauled management 3 times in a year.........
But me, I've found a solution sha, I now use Indian management.
So competent, so honest and so straightforward.
I thought they were expensive at first with all the visa fees, accommodation, house staff, but now that losses due to staff theft have been reduced to a minimum, and efficiency increased, the Indian management has turned out to be cheaper than the previous Nigerian management.
Now, all sensitive positions involving money go to Indians. Nigerians are only allowed in non-sensitive positions.
I used to criticize companies like Dangote Group that hire so many Indians when there are many unemployed Nigerians, but now, I understand their decision.

My biggest challenge in the trading business is the same, getting honest staff.
The form of trading occurs in the open market, and involves staff having access to huge sums of money running into a few millions.
I know how much I pay to security companies to provide escorts for the staff, not to prevent robbery, but to ensure that the staff go straight to the bank to deposit the money after the day's sales and not disappear with my money.
This money spent on security companies is even enough to be declared as profitWe have to spend on CCTV, biometric scanners and other things that wouldn't be needed if staff weren't looking for the slightest opportunity to steal.

It got so bad at a point that my main criteria for employing staff was no longer competency but honesty.
At least, competency and skills can be learnt, but once you're dishonest, you're dishonest.

We always complain of the economy and how there are no jobs. I know people abroad who would have loved to set up job creating businesses in Nigeria but they can't because they can't get any trustworthy person to run it.

I know people in Nigeria with so much money, they want to start factories and other job-creating businesses but they can't because they are occupied elsewhere and can't get any trustworthy person to run the business.
So instead of investing in the real sector and creating jobs, they'll just buy treasury bills, while the thieves are shouting no jobs.

Many big businesses would have been born in Nigeria if we could engage in partnerships, but we cant because you can't trust anyone.
This is one advantage the Indians and Lebanese have over us in Nigeria.
They can pull resources together and do mega-business, unlike Nigerians that because only one person must do everything since we can't partner, end up with small, tiny businesses.

Start a poultry and they will be stealing your eggs. Some will even go ahead to be killing the chickens so that they'll be allowed to take them home.

Start an entertainment/viewing/game center and they'll be pocketing your money.
On the days you're around at the business, the money realized will be x10 of the money realized when you're not around..... Because they're eating your money.

Lease out a vehicle to a driver to use and watch as he'll finish you.

Start a restaurant, the same thing will happen. More than half of the total food ingredients will end up in their personal kitchens.

Even ordinary provisions shop, they will find a way to steal.

You'll see them with that their evil, wicked saying "na where person dey work, na there e dey chop, na e make dem dey callam workchop/workshop"...... Just imagine, justifying theft at work.

And you'll see these people point their crooked fingers at politicians when they're not any different. I usually say the reason most Nigerians haven't stolen billions of government money, is simply lack of opportunity.

Again,
*On every level, Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria*.

I want us to discuss how this narrative can change.
As I speak there are several Nigerians here and institutional investors who would love to invest in Nigeria but the character of Nigerians on the global stage has been a drawback.

There are also franchises from Agriculture to Automobiles who wish to enter the Nigerian Market but holding back because of this.

Cc : Coach.

God bless you for taking time out to air your view concerning this.
May Nigeria succeed.

We could just hand over the management of the nation to Indians and i bet we would be better for it abi

Probably a terrible idea.

From your name I guess you're from Edo state.

Have you seen the beautiful Bini bronze statues that the British stole being displayed in the British museum?

You really don't want them back, trust me.

If they ever come back they will obliterate everything that's you and a people without self-identity is a worthless people.

You don't have to be part of the Yoruba nation.

In fact, if you are not Bini, we don't think we want to have you in Yoruba nation.

Your ethnic group can always be its own independent nation if you want.

1 thing about this shit hole Nigeria, you need to have somebody up there to always call when ever you are having stress, just have their number on your phone and them go dey clear way for you, i know some individuals who knows big names in this wont pay shishi as soon as they arrive Nigeria for the covid 19 test, only one phone call coast don clear, i really miss my friend Ann and i have her picture enlarged in my parlour and i pray for her soul everyday, FUNNY ENOUGH SHE WAS MAKING PLANS TO TAKE ME ABROAD BEFORE HER DEATH IN 2015, SHE SAID IT WILL BE MORE EASIER FOR ME TO FLY TO CANADA FIRST LIVE THERE WITH HER ELDER SISTER FOR A WHILE BEFORE SHE COULD MAKE ARRANGEMENT FOR ME TO JOIN HER IN THE US, THE PROCESS WAS ALMOST COMPLETED AND I ALSO HAD MY PASSPORT READY BEFORE I GOT THAT CALL FROM HER SON THAT SHE IS DEAD AND THAT CALL SHATTERED MY LIFE. MY ADVICE TO EVERYBODY OUT THE, IF U GET CHANCE TO LEAVE THIS SHIT HOLE PLEASE DO. i know Ann is rolling in her grave now that she couldn't get me out of NIGERIA

I like the courage of the passenger...

Some set people are there to make money into their pockets using FG as yardsticks.

Shame to the organisation who are assigned to take care of the program at the Airport... This is how they run their individual homes.. May the wrath of God befalls on parties involved in stealing from Nigerians.
