Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G has questioned those who undergo surgery to look younger than their age, WonderTV Media reports.

The actress noted that being old or aging, should be seen as a blessing.

She stated that she is proud of her age as she considered it an enormous blessing.

She wrote:

“When did old age stop being a blessing?
People do all manner of stuff to cover up aging – good for them!

I own my age and experience with my full chest and count it an enormous blessing.

Aging is not unattractive or undesirable.

Life is fleeting. Enjoy the years you’ve been blessed with fully. I am not afraid to look/be old. I am not worried about being in any exclusive league or being validated by people’s opinion.

When i was younger i suffered so much depression and lowself esteem because of the way i was brought up,i am in my late 20s now i feel much better and they are all gone,infact the older i get the better i feel about myself, time indeed is a healing balm and age is a blessing.

Even though my biological mother is just in her early 50s, I owned the EVENING NEWSPAPER tag because it can never be an INSULT to be old (and single). God forbid I spend time and energy proving to anyone that I am young.

Anybody that thinks it is an insult to be old, would/should die before my Nairaland age.

Don't mind them, living in an age where flashy things have warped our perceptions becoming older with all its attendant effects has become undesirable. As if it is a fate they can escape, at least it's our collective fate for now.

Old age is good, and a blessing too. I can never deny my age. Thank God I am getting older.
