A man might be told to stay pure, but virgin might not be used to align him, even if he doesn't have sex.

Let me gist you where the issue is coming from.

(1) There is no tangible proof of male virginity. No hymen.

(2) Virgin girls are more celebrated than virgin guys.

(3) There is no where in the Bible where a man was called virgin. A man might be called pure, chaste etc, but not called virgin. But ladies were called virgins in the Bible.

(4) The glory of sexual purity is more tied to the woman than the man.

Virginity means no experience of sexual intercourse. Which means it has nothing to do with gender.

1- Proof of virginity: Hymen can be replaced surgically. Therefore it would be ridiculous to automatically link hymen to virginity. A prostitute can restore her hymen. But cannot restore her virginity.

2. This should be blamed on female folks who have refused to reciprocate same privilege the man have done for virgin women. If women start appreciating virgin men more, it will be balanced.

3. Like I said in my introduction, virginity means no experience of sexual intercourse. It is not gender related. Virgin is an English word, Nigerian languages use other words. In Igbo language it is like a sentence 'nwanyi na amaghi nwoke', while male virgin should be 'nwoke na amaghi nwanyi'. Open your bible and read Rev 14:4 'They are the men who have kept themselves pure by not having sexual relations with women; they are virgins.'

Because girls find it easier to get sex. It makes men jealous and insecure. So, they made up this rule where a girl with a high body count isn’t good enough but a boy with a high body count is a king. The demand for virginity is an attempt to make girls think sex is something shameful to indulge in, that way when girls start having less sex, It’ll heal their insecurities. You know men are always desperate to compete with women. In this sad attempt to prove they’re the prize. That’s the world we live in.
