On iOS 15, Siri comes with a new Notification Announcement feature that lets you read notifications when wearing AirPod headphones or connected Beats.

IOS 15 Siri feature

SIRI has been able to announce messages for some time now, but in IOS 15, the feature has been extended to all notifications. If enabled, Siri will automatically announce critical time alerts from apps where AirPods / Beats are connected.

You can also choose to have SMS notifications announcing each app if you want to hear notifications from certain time-sensitive apps.

Here’s how to get Siri to announce notifications on iOS 15.
Launch the settings app.

Tap Notifications.
Under “Siri‌,” select Announce Notifications.
Toggle the switch next to Notification Announcement in the ON green mode.
To receive an SMS to announce all notifications from a specific application, simply select the application mentioned in the list under “Announce Notifications From” and toggle its Announce Notifications switch.
settings.
Note that if the notification supports actions, Siri will listen to your response after reading the notification, so you do not need to say “Hello Siri”or “Hey Siri” to follow it.
