EL-Rufai is pretending to be a technocrat and nationalist, but his track record shows a deeply bigoted man, who could care less about the plight of ordinary people or people who are not his kinsmen. He is no different than Buhari, albeit smarter and more competent; but make no mistake about the similarity of their goals.
As governor of Kaduna state, the citizens of Southern Kaduna are being murdered and driven from their ancestral homelands, but El-Rufai could care less- nay goes why?N (they are Christians and non-fulanis). They make excuses for marauding and murderous Fualnis and blame the unwillingness of local farmers to accommodate the Fualnis as the reason for the clashes; El-Rufai asks the rest of nigerians to understand that nomadic pastoralism is the culture of the Fualnis and this, in his mind, supersedes the concern of farmers that their livelihood and crops are being destroyed by the fulani herders. El-Rufai famously made the "body bags" threat in the run up to the last national election. Just a few weeks ago, El-Rufai was making excuses for the terroriest or "bandits" saying that it is mere business; he turned around a few days ago 'begging" the Federal government to designate them terrorists-we are not fooled by his about face. His mindset is clear.
El-Rufai is Buhari on steroids. He is a more refined and a more competent version of Buhari and he will execute the same mission of Buhari in a more competent manner. Beware of El-Rufai and his cronies. Do not trust him with national power. He is Buhari on steroids!
