"Great Benin, where the king resides, is larger than Lisbon; all the streets run straight and as far as the eye can see. The houses are large, especially that of the king, which is richly decorated and has fine columns. The city is wealthy and industrious. It is so well governed that theft is unknown and the people live in such security that they have no doors to their houses."

Today, the same Great Benin under one Nigeria has been reduced to a collection of unviable local government areas, with decrepit roads, buildings in need of repair and herdsmen and yahoo yahoo making life unbearable. Tufiakwa!!!?

Benin republic is not same as Benin City, the Portuguese had dealings with Benin City before Nigeria came in to being

Is Dahomey the same as Benin? Benin Republic was unknown to Portuguese explorers as a political entity.

Benin city and the Bini empire have become irrelevant

The city of Enugu was founded in 1903. The city of Portharcourt was founded in 1912

Both the city of Enugu and Portharcourt are now miles ahead of Benin city that has been in existence since 1691

No it isn't.
Dahomey is Benin Republic not Benin city. Dahomey wasn't known as Benin Republic until the 1990s. It was named Benin in memory of the great Benin kingdom in Nigeria.

Just like every part of Nigeria has gone backwards. So think before you type, Nigeria as a whole is backwards thanks to the government or did you hear that Benin is independent and yet not able to return to glory? undecided

Anini was the King of Armed Robbers in 1986 when Nigeria was still doing well and £1 was N5

Yet you insist on one Nigeria that has held every nationality down except Fulanis. Even the hausas are not spared!

And heard at that time Benin was allowed to fully rule itself?

Did you hear of an Anini before colonial era?

You chose not to be honest with yourself.
There's currently no agitation from Benin to have their in country or even restructure Nigeria to a confederation. Show me evidence of a key Benin elite advocating for these.

Do you just choose to be ignorant? I shared you a link and common sense would have made you to click on it which leads to a page and in that page is another link to a Facebook page where you can watch a video of a group.

If that isn't enough for you that doesn't concern the Ẹdo nation, we are not interested in your Oduduwa or Biafra.

Let's face our individual lands undecided

What Fulani Nigeria destroyed is uncountable.

People who don't know history and who don't know what one Nigeria took from them will always blindly troll Nnamdi Kanu.

At that time Benin was well established, nobody knew anything about Abuja. Today, Abuja is far ahead of Benin. In fact Benin has become a ghost of its own with many other Nigerian cities fairing better than it. It all boil that to a poor lunatic government we have in Nigeria. Shame
