I have a quick question as I'm getting my necessary documents ready before ITA.

Please as a self employed, do I need to get Tax Clearance Certificate (3 years + the current year) or Can I use Tax receipts instead?

P.S: I've searched the thread but couldn't find an answer.

Hmmmm, its really fraustrating.. I feel ur pain. The hope of crs point dropping to 480 even if ircc decide to do fsw draw today is not visible.
Why dont you look at the option of TEF. Its nt easy thou.. or u take another ielts and wait a little more till score reduces after 2-3 draws. Just worried on your behalf. Can you check for possible PNP's? It is well with all of us oo

Thank you, the issue isn’t about taking another IELTS, but resuming the draw, I can’t find any PNP applicable to my current situation, I only have a sibling it Alberta , not any other place, kindly help if you have any positive information.

Depending on your NOC, you'd be perfect for OINP HCP....provided you don't claim the 15 sibling points, this takes you to 465.

Once all programs draws start, with 3k per draw, within 4 draws or so they'll be at 481, all things being equal.

I used to be in the camp of "upfront remed"....now I've ported to "wait for IRCC remed request" for 2 reasons:
1. extension of meds by IRCC
2. delay in upfront remeds assessment

Kindly rewrite IELTS. I wrote IELTS on a saturday (British council) but came out feeling I lost focus on the listening part. Before leaving the test venue I re-registered for another IELTS and paid 75k online. I wrote the exam again 4 days later. Now unto the result:

Result 1: Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Speaking 8.0
Writing 7.5

Result 2: Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Speaking 7.5
Writing 7.0

Bottom line is that I wasted my money . I shouldn't have written the second one. I got ITA a few weeks (Nov 18 2020) because I was reluctant to update my scores till all my documents were complete. I didn't foresee the possibility that FSW draws would be suspended in 2021. But all the same my application has been in processing mode for 10 months now

1. Can I send to any Visa office for my COPR to be issued or must it be Ottawa.
2. Do I go straight to DHL to transmit the documents to the designated Visa office.
3. I see something about transmission fee on my letter. When is it to be paid, and how do I go about it.

I need help with the process. My location is Abuja.
I would appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

Please don't be frustrated, hang in there, you will tell your story some day. Watched a documentary today on a lady that moved from Congo through south America with her two daughters and a husband, all the way to Canada. Took her almost 6 months for the whole trip. Never give up.

Congrats to all the people with PPR.

For the others, yours is on the way. We are all expectant.

Things can still turn around before Dec 31st. We keep the hope alive.

You ought to have read the letter accompanying your PPR properly. All the information you needed was stated there. In the letter you were instructed to send your Passport to the nearest VO to you, which in your case is either Accra or Lagos. Since Lagos VO takes longer, your best best is Accra direct through DHL. You will need to pay about 405 cedis for each passport sent, which covers both VFS transmission fees and courier service back to your house in Abuja.

Even if you get an NOI from a province now, it might take a couple of months before you get the actual Provincial nomination, and by then your IELTS would have expired and you will no longer be eligible for Express entry.

My advice will be to write another IELTS now, while exploring PNP routes.

If your occupation is in demand in Ontario and you're not risk averse, you can remove your sibling and pray you get an NOI with 465, while preparing for and writing another IELTS.

And if they resume FSW draw before you get an NOI, you add your sibling back in your profile and pray that the FSW draw is not one-off.

The risk of not taking a risk is that depending on your age, you might drop points on the day you should be celebrating your birthday.

some Nigerians voted conservative during the last two elections. To them too many Nigerians in Canada will be a bad thing in future. Stupidity if i must say, the calibre of people that qualify for express entry and study visa are not anyhow people in the first place.

I am confused about this statement, are u implying that when the next FSW draws hold, the points would be above 480? If I may ask, what point range are u looking at?

FIRST draw's CRS obviously depends on what the pool looks like at the time and the number of ITAs...it's anyone's guess.....once they start regularly, hopefully the CRS should reduce as they conduct more draws, all things being equal.
