I got this email from VFS this morning. Does this mean it has gotten to VFS Lagos or it’s still in Accra

Wow finally, it’s in Ghana VFS. They will indicate in The email that it’s in Lagos once it gets there. You can call Lagos vfs to confirm though. You should get it within 6 days from now.

Hello House,

Please I really need help about a situation I am in. I got into the Pool July 16th 2021 at age 29. I have read that draws will start again this July, my fear is what if my profile expires before the draws. Re applying would mean that I will be apply with age 30 (my birthday is June 23rd). Do i withdraw my application and reapply before my birthday or do i just wait it out?

Kindly Advise. Help a brother

if your profile expires, you will create a new one. just wait it out and explore other options ie PNP just incase

Canada will once again invite Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residence this July, but that’s not the only change coming

Bill C-19 is now passing through the Senate and is on track to become law. It will give Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) the authority to invite Express Entry candidates in the pool based on an economic goal, such as occupation, French-language ability, or education credential.

IRCC will be required to engage in a public consultation process to help them select which groups of Express Entry candidates will be invited in these types of draws. Further, IRCC must report annually to Parliament describing the economic goal that was sought in each instance.

See problem, Bill C-19 is already a done deal, July FSW ITA expect the unexpected
ITAs based on occupations rather than on high CRS scores

key word there. In these types of draws. It looks like an addition to existing draws.

I don't think there's anything you can do, 5 marks will automatically be deducted on June 23rd for age. You can look into other ways to improve your score if the 5 marks will really affect your score.

This is not true please, they start deducting 5 points from age 30 not 31. It's an automatic thing.

Express entry is now very competitive, people are doing everything possible to increase their scores. I doubt if you have a chance, but you can check your CRS online and compare it to the CRS of those in the pool.

Note: other factors can affect your CRS

Whoa, thanks.

Please, can one with Professional certificates like Graduate Project Management Professional, HSE 1,2,3, and Graduate member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) be considered as one or more certificates?

Thanks.

I don't think so. I have not seen any person that has used any of these for one or more certificates. The only one I know and is quite popular here is BCS. You can make research and you can also ask those that know much about this short program

25% of your pension fund is what you are entitled to. The issue with pension letter is the clause that says it becomes accessible to you after 4months of disengagement of duty. We have heard stories of some VO raising concerns on that cos they expect you to have unrestricted access to the money but in anyways, pension fund has been successfully used by very many people.[/quote]

Okay, thanks so much for the response.

MrPein:

Hi. Fixing the money and using the certificate is not a bad idea. But why open a new account? It may seem dodgy to a visa officer. Also consider the fact that you'll need a reference letter and/or non-indebtedness letter from the bank.

If your POF is a lump sum, you must explain how you got it and with proof. If it is a gift, do a gift deed. Sales of property, show sales proceedings. Or an accumulation of salaries, show salary account.

From what I’ve read, the Bill C-19 isn’t that deep. At least, from what I read on @NaijaCanadianBro_ ‘s page on Instagram.

It's deep my dear. The zenith of it all is this; Getting ITAs in the pool will not be solely based on high CRS score anymore, but on criteria that the minister outlines such as Noc, region. In other words, it will be like PNP but conducted by Federal.
The real truth is, when it's finally passed into law, the changes will favour some persons and some will be bitten by it. Normal odds of life.

It isn’t nonsense. It’s a strategy to only select those who are best able to contribute to their society. What you must understand is that immigration rules are not meant for you, but for the host country.

bros calm down abeg... I don't want to talk anyhow to u this morning cus you'll hate yourself.. perhaps you've gotten ur ITA or even landed in Canada, thats why u talking goat talk. Do u know how much money have been spent on ielts alone, plus other stress that one has gone through only for them to just come up with this dirty idea! Why can't they atleast show consideration to people by giving long period of notice let's say one year so that people will be better prepared to adapt to Future changes... Not everyone has the money for this pursuit, some even had to borrow funds to push thier way forward, then you're giving public talk saying BLA BLA BLA like I don't know what u are saying... In life, consideration is a key factor, learn to put yourself in other's people shoe, make I for no swear for u this morning... Mtcheeeew. Pls allow people that have sense to talk abeg... Mtcheeww

you probably have to read the post. You need to stop this scaremongering. They are not changing the entire express entry, they are only adding that to it. They are only giving the minister the ability to invite people based on groupings - a power he did not have before - which, for instance, he needed during Covid but was unable to. The fact that they are doing that doesn’t mean they are cancelling the current process. You really need to educate yourself on this topic or maybe watch the house session on the bill. There’s a version on YouTube. Or you could read it on @NaijaCanadianBro_ page on Ig. It’s not deep, yo!
