Hello everyone.

My mum's passport was submitted at Vfs on Thursday by proxy. She didn't pay for courier as she has the signed consent form to pick up the passport when it is returned.

I received emails yesterday and again today saying the passport has been received at the Abuja VCO and is ready for collection. It also stated that "Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice". I'm confused because we submitted at Lagos VFs and not Abuja. Secondly, we didn't pay for courier. I've emailed them but no response so far (I don't expect one for at least 48hours), I got my sister to call but they said their office is closed due to elections.

Has someone here experienced this recently? If anyone knows how I can go about this please let me know. I'd highly appreciate it.

Hello Everyone, please have they changed Foreign Work Experience to 25points because a month ago it was 50points if you have the required work experience. I have a 10-year work experience in the same company and I saw 25points but when I used the CRS calculator, it was 50points. Please assist.

Hey,
sorry just seeing this.
I got a provincial nomination from Alberta towards the end of last year, been in the pool for quite a while with 425points.
So yeah, I'm one of the positive ones.
Do your research and get in the pool. Even with less than 400 points, you can get an ITA
All the best!

Hello please if you don't mind can you share how you got your provincial nomination, I am currently in the pool with 438 score

Hello everyone.

Is there anyone here whose skilled work experience is in IT project management? Abeg, which NOC did you use?

21222, the role is in the full index of titles, but ensure you match the main duties properly.

All the best.

Looks like it may be your IELTS.

*50 points for Foreign Work Experience if you get CLB 9 or higher on ALL i.e. LRWS 8777 or higher.

*25 points for Foreign Work Experience if you get below CLB 9 on any.

With the look of things it may seem as though ircc don’t wanna go below 490, they keep waiting for high scores on the pool before they conduct draw.

This is really annoying and soo painful. I will forever regret missing out on ITA on Dec 23, 2020 due to tie breaking rules! I was so sure of getting ITA in the next draw then they suspended draw for nearly a year and half now, the scores keep getting higher and age keep increasing 😩

There’s no need to regret it wasn’t your fault. Don’t beat yourself. If you can learn French learn French it’ll add to your scores

How many months will it take me to learn French to the point where I can take and pass the exam??
P.S: I'm a faster learner

I’m not sure this is it, because I can’t see how keeping the scores high serves them. I think they’re starting to lean towards occupations in demand draws through the PNP since most PNP holders are in occupations that are in demand by their provinces .

I just wish they would inform us before changing things randomly. I understand it’s their country and they can choose whatever system they like, but it does seem “improper” (read: unfair) to change systems suddenly while keeping applicants in the dark. Especially when you say you are trying to attract people.

But they can get away with doing things this way, so I guess we have to accept it. 😥

Me and my 502 score have been sitting in the pool for about four weeks now, yet no ITA. Who would have thought that could happen?

With your 502, you gat no worries you will get your ita anytime the draw come up, relax yourself. I wish my score is around 500. I’m stalked on 481 it’s really painful 😓.

I believe draws will resume again but then the scores will be high. Also Canada stands to achieve a few things from high scores, more educated, younger and French speakers.

if the high scores served them. They wont introduce that bill targeting specific occupations. A lot of those professionals degrees that gave people masters scores didn’t mean there was labour shortages in those occupations . Majority of the jobs in Canada requires high school or bsc too. The reason for the high scores is more applicants. Many of the other developed countries have harsh immigration policies making people focus on canada

Yes of course a lot of attention has been drawn to Canada over the years and have appeared to be the El Dorado for most of us but skills is just one of the reasons Canada need people, most of the people who leave for Canada end up being under employed, demographics is one of the greatest reasons they need people.

Good day house,

Do I need my SSCE result to enter the pool?

I have the photocopy....I was rubbed sometime ago, and the bastards went away with my bag, some of my vital documents were inside the bag.

I have however sworn an affidavit.
