That is no bank job. That is slavery. You shouldn’t even be talking about it, but I won’t be surprised if you go for it. You prefer to snap picture in starched shirt with white wall as background.

I think you should work the bank job for 2 years, save up, resign and go learn your programming. A job in Nigeria will not give you opportunity to do a side hustle. Most jobs with freedom and good pay are limited

Please I’m having a serious issue in making a choice here. There’s this “Federal” Micro Finance Bank that I submitted an Application to 2months ago and got an invitation for interview which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Comparing the Two

Current Job
1. 7-7pm.
2. Nothing like Career here not to talk of growth.
3. No time for self development.
4. Conducive co-workers
5. Friendly Boss
6. Salary 45k

Bank Job
1. Salary 40k
2. 8-4pm
3. 80% of the workers are above 35yrs
4. Time for self development.
5. I don’t know the Executives yet.

My main reason for posting here is that I want to learn programming but my current Job won’t give me the time.
The bank Salary and timing is just perfect for me but am just afraid incase thing’s doesn’t go as planned.

You do know banks don't close at 4pm exactly though?

Infact bank workers close anywhere around 7pm cos they have to all balance.

If i were you, i will stay where i am, the goal is to move forward and not move backward.

Abeg remain where you are.
When I heard bank job I thought it was a solid bank.. until I saw micro finance. Refurbished Alajor house. What career could that possibly offer you?

Abeg that 5k, go still do something this period. Don't lose it tongue.

Wait until you get an offer in GTB or First bank. I pray so for you.

There is no such thing as Federal Microfinance bank.

Only two mfbs are linked to fgn in Nigeria, and they don't pay less than 150k at entry.

The Mfbs are NPf and BOI mfbs.

Get your facts so we can offer our bit.

Thanks
Its a federal university micro finance bank

Ohk,then there's no much difference as the coy is run by the uni and you won't be on govt payroll.

You can take advantage of loans and other minor benefits while you learn your programming,

Cheers

I don’t know where this country is going , how will a man survive on 40-45k job for 30 days nitori oloun..
How much can you save out of that meagre salary for 2 years embarassed
Are you not going to eat ?
Are you not going buy cloth ?
Are you not going to pay rent ?
Won’t you buy data? Won’t you send money to family once in a while ?

Even if you save, after two years , inflation eill render the money useless..
Ha bro see see I won’t lie to you . The two jobs don’t worth the stress to me,

Think of something bro ,

Fgn just disbursed palliative funds through the bank.

There are lots of mfbs that pay very well.

I tell young graduates to even work temporarily for free if it can strengthen their resume.

One seems like a one man business and the other is a bank, though abviously a small one or even a microfinance (from the salary, no major naija bank should pay even drivers 40k)

So go for more time and resume building. Go for the bank. Remember few employers are doing you a favour. You're doing them a favor by making them profit. So move everytime it's in your favor.
