With all due respect to Mr Keyamo, I believe we have moved beyond the debate of legality or otherwise of the panel.

Right now, we are more interested in the substance of truth and justice which trumps the technical legalese ; we must demand that the panel is truthful and ensure that justice is done and seen to be done in a transparent and honest manner.

Inserting falsehoods in the Lekkilies EndSars report is a no no for me. It's completely unacceptable that a report declared the living as dead and recommended that my tax be paid to fictitious names ,so whoever inserted falsehoods into the report must be investigated and prosecuted for lying on oath.

But the governor is the chief security officer of his state .
He can set up panel to investigate any body military or police.

I guess Lagos state lawyers and every lawyers in Nigeria were on holidays when the panel was being set up,hence nobody pulled out this part of our dear constitution.

When there was clamor for a panel of enquiry it was the same Federal Government that said it lacked powers to set up panels of enquiry, that only states can do so unless it's about the FCT.
