Senator George Akume, the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, may be barred from running for the position of National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, since he is accused of looting the public treasury. Akume is fighting for the position of APC National Chairman at the party's upcoming February convention, although his chances of succeeding are limited to non-existent.
