Governor Willie Obiano has continued to dazzle Ndi Anambra with outstanding legacies as the eye-popping Awka City Stadium nears completion.

The stadium is the first modern sporting facility in the capital of Anambra State built to commendable standards.

The speed tracks and a covered stand for spectators are ready and in a few weeks time the synthetic turf of the football pitch will be ready too.

I keep telling people that Lagos is the only south west state that is working .. the rest are dead beat states ....

Stadium is a very important project to a city

What SE is achieving without help from federal government is phenomenal. Anambra is doing really well especially in the area of education, there is a big surge in people going to school instead of running around motor parks and shouting all over the place and churning out laughable statistics.

I'm a strong believer in the south East. These guys can turn a desert to a business capital. Obiano is not doing bad ooo, e just be say I no like him eyes as e dey big....lol

Anambra has what it takes to compete well with Lagos in all ramifications. Just make their sea Port standard and you all will run to anambra to invest.

Legality ko legacy ni,this is not stadium but sport complex and so in that context ,he tried ,if not that he likes to party ,he would have done more ,the internal generated revenue and normal Federal allocation without local government chairmen to share the money � with is just massive, we are talking about billions of naira here.he should have done more ,we should stop supporting mediocre, aguata roads are in shambles, simply impassable..the only reason they rushed to put it in social media is understandable, that soludo looks like someone that will use big grammar claimed somebody project

How come all the picture shots are focused on just the stand with cantilever covering, I'm guessing the other areas are nothing to write home about...Willie Obiano's projects are always through direct labour and most times poorly executed.

What is the rationale behind installing the tartan tracks which is usually the last item in stadium construction when work on the structures are not yet completed even the grassing haven't been done.

Willie Obiano is in a hurry to take glory for the project he initiated before his tenure finally elapse.

nice view and beautiful pics but akpabio did d best concerning sports n stadium in d whole of Nigeria with dt beautiful eagles nest stadium in akwa ibom state..
concerning the amount of billions he spent, I think it would av been better if he uses part of that allocation to address more important issues like healthcare n employment generation..
I dnt see the use of such a beautiful n expensive project wen its people are suffering..
