Server error. Most likely of those 5xxx errors. You might also need to clear your cache or disable your plugins to find which one is the culprit. Download the troubleshooting plugin so that you can disable the plugins only in the backend and not for users.

Also check your error log, you will get some valuable insights about which plugins or other site add-ons causing the issue.

Try to use the bowser debugging tool to see the server responses. Or you could create a staging area, then start removing Plugin one by one to see which Plugin is causing the issue.
