I visited someone, the dog was lying close to the door, I tried to touch it so it could go away it just bit me. Small bite with scratches on my fingers(I guess the scratches are from its nails) I went to the clinic and took tetenus injection and they also gave me anti-rabies injection too (5k per one) and said I'm supposed to take it 3 times but I'm strapped for cash currently.
I heard if a dog transmit rabies, it would die after few days. Should I still be worried if the dog doesn't die?
I mean if the dog is healthy and alive does it means it couldn't have had rabies infection to transmit during bite?
I need advice from only those with knowledge of the matter

I tried to upload pictures but airtel is just bad right now. The one that looks like a little puncture(they said that's the bite) is not deep, I can press it and not feel much pain but the other two lines which the suggested was from its teeth is more painful

as long as you have taken anti rabies and anti tetanus shot you have nothing to worry about.

OK thank you but I have only only taken one shot of the anti rabies, they said I need at least 3, so I was thinking maybe I could skip the remaining two doses because I don't really have enough money for them right now and the dog doesn't look sick or aggressive or anything. It's not chained, it's still walking around the compound with a lot of people around without attacking anyone or showing any form of abnormal behaviour

We do have a local dog at home also. First time I was bitten by it . I just used spirit to clean the wound and I was good . After like 3 months I mistakenly stepped on its tail and it bit me again . This time uncle was there . He made sure I took tetanus injection that’s all. Went to hospital and got one shot and they gave me antibiotics to heal that’s all . Went back home in a week the wound don close . Any one telling you that you will bark for days just Dey lie. Take one shot or tetanus injections . You will be fine
