There's need to begin Q1 2022 on a positive note. You need to pay your tax, valid for first Quarter.

As a New Startup, the amount is negligible, i.e very small. 5,000 RWF (Payable to RRA) + 1000Rwf (bank charges) = 6,000 RWF. In Nigeria naira, this is just 3,000 Naira. Excluding a token we charge your company.

With this, a TCC will be issued to your companies. This shows you are actually doing business in RWANDA and paying taxes. Your company now have a say in Rwanda. Your company will be known and updated on Rwandan Revenue Authority website for anyone to confirm your company legitimacy.

Companies sometimes fail to do this until the search light from RRA (Rwanda Revenue Authority) falls on them, and generates Huge tax for them. Then, they begin to Helter skelter. Rwandan Authorities don't pity companies in this regard. So before they even come, have your papers ready, poke it on their face! Lol.

If you check the last page of your incorporation documents, you will see that it's between Jan-mar of each year. As a new start up, there's a Tax break for your company, but let me tell you from experience, don't fall into that trap. The Gov here survive on taxes, cash flows from diaspora & aids. The economy is actually boosted by foreign companies, so just kindly apply for a TCC, after one year you will be glad, we told you this secret, and you acted on it.

Failure to adhere to this advise, after one year when RRA agents comes for assessment, as a foreign company you're going to pay (#sawa).

Note. Among East Africa countries, Kenya is off the grid for now. There appears to be a low level conspiracy to frustrate all Nigerians (except the elites off course) who transit through Nairobi.

They have this low level mentality that Nigerians will & must pay a bribe because they (Nigerians) 're already used to it, courtesy their Police Force. And that Nigerians are very rich in dollars! This off course is true cos no where in Africa does the youth group of 16-46 years old have such purchasing power (in dollars) as Nigerians.

Avoid Kenya Airways as a carrier. Either as a connecting flight or whatever, Their staff work with the police & immigration to extort you at the airport. You'd be surprised after the immigration officers extort you, once you're out thinking it's over, the police are on you. Testimonies abode of those they extort. We need more videos and pictures.

To avoid harassment & exploitation by Kenyan police, immigration, kindly do the needful first. And make sure your paperwork is ok & you have a good social media presence. Get videos & pictures if possible. It's really heart breaking extorting people seeking Greener pastures!

I know what I'm saying. Their extortion is near close to a legendary West African country police Force that extorts it's citizens mindlessly! And without remorse!
