The Federal Government of Nigeria has started disbursement of the sum of N7.3 billion for the remaining beneficiaries of the 774,000 Special Public Works Programme. In the past 2 weeks, bank credit alerts have been received confirming this.

Earlier this December 2021, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo had disclosed this would be paid soon during the budget defence organised by the Senate Committee on Labour and Employment for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on Monday, in Abuja.

The Minister had blamed the delay on bank challenges and stated that the FG is committed to fixing the bottlenecks before the end of the year. Keyamo promised that the ministry would ensure that the funds were disbursed before the end of December. The scheme, which was launched in 2019 is expected to pay beneficiaries the sum of N20,000 a month for three months.

If you applied for this, check your SMSes.

Yes, I know people who recently received 60k each. Their names were submitted to the national lawmakers, I guess that's the 15% Keyamo abi na Falana gave them.
