I've been studying snake for more than 2years, and from my experience you handle snake with caution... Whether venomous or not... Some u shape mouth snake (non venomous) can still bite and inflict injuries that can send one to grave if not properly manage ... Next time u let it go... Black mamba are identify by the colour of inside their mouth not body..

Hope you know there is a shortage of anti venom in Nigerian hospitals before you keep it as a pet, and that juvenile snakes are just as venomous as the fully grown one's.

Just so you know, black mambas aren't even black.

Black mambas are a deep grey colour. That's a green mamba though, and while it's not as venomous as its black cousin, it's dangerous nonetheless
