Even in 1861 when the British Arrived ,
Lagos was already the busiest Port in West Africa

The money the British used to develop Lagos further also came from lagos

Yes !!!!
lagos was already Boooooommmmmmiiiinnnggggggg even in 1923 !!!!

Lagos was born in Boom Town!!!!!

Lagos was the first Port of Choice For Yorubaland, and all of Northern Nigeria even in the Middle of Usman Dan Fodio Wars, the Fulani Jihad couldn't take their eyes off it just like Ojukwu who also tried to Capture it in 1967

Lagos was an Economic Jaggernaut that by the special Grace of God was born booming

Yorubas done rely on Niger delta oil, and we have never shown that we wanted it or relied on it. We have oil in ondo state, in Lagos, untapped in Ogun state, etc. Yorubas don’t rely on oil. If we rely on it, we won’t be preaching fiscal federalism, or regions controlling their resources.

You rely on oil, hunger will finish the south west anytime they remove the Niger Delta feeding bottle from their mouth. Think about how terribly poor osun state will be without federal allocation.

Obj and love for letters.Obj has done his best to work out political permutations that resulted in Niger Delta having her son on the highest seat in Nigeria and he also did same in Kaduna when Yakowa emerged as the first Christian from South Kaduna to be a governor. They were divine arrangements but God used Obj.

When Nigeria finally disintegrates, the people of the NigerDelta region will be richer than the yorubas. The south west is 100% dependent on the resources of the Niger Delta.

Imagine what Oyo state will look like without free money from Port Harcourt.

There has been a big fight where Lagos has been politicking to take l the headquarters of the oi majors to Lagos so they can be paying IGR in Yorubaland.
E go shock u; even with 13% I’ve not seen anything to be envious of down south

All political leaders in Nigeria, except GEJ, are political tribesmen who place the interest of their tribes above Nigeria.
OBJ, stop being a hypocrite.

Edwin Clark, you must have been one of those who sold Niger Delta crude oil to the descendants of Othman Dan Fodio in 1967, when some of you unwise elders of the coastal states of today's southsouth region went to Kaduna, and begged Hassan Katsina the then northern region governor, to beg the then HoS, Yakubu Gowon, to carve new states to carve the non Igbo speaking areas of the old Eastern region out of Biafra.
Gowon quickly carved Cross River and Rivers states from Biafra. That mostly led to fall of Biafra.

Shortly after, northern politicians and soldiers grabbed the multi million dollars oil blocks in the now southsouth region.
That's when Resource Control was sold out.
Some uninformed people in the SS still make the same mistakes as their unwise elders made in 1967. If they don't join their SE neighbours to pursue a common cause, it remains a long drawn struggle.

Don't mind them, they think is by having oil here n there, leadership matters in this case, that is one big advantage UAE have above Nigeria, even with all our oil and others resources, UAE is still far better that Nigeria as a whole.

One thing I can agree with Obj is that, without the Nigeria military, tribes will be in a state of perpetual war, fighting over mineral resources and oil.
