During the time of civil war that lasted for three years (1967-1970) was due to a disagreement on aburi accord meeting. In article 8 of the aburi accord general Gowon made... should i say a deliberate declaration. The really offending clauses of the decree were sections 70 and 71 of article 8 which empowered the military council to declare a state of emergency in Nigeria, if the Head of State and at least three of the Governors agreed to do so. Section 71 also empowered the Head of state in agreement with at least three Governors to legislate for any particular region whenever they deemed it fit during a state of emergency, with or without the consent of the Governor of that particular region. In effect, Gowon had taken power unto himself to deal with Ojukwu whenever he pleased, how he pleased and as long as he pleased.

Since that very time up till now everybody is scared of having an igbo president. Are we monsters that everybody is scared of us? If you dont want us to rule then allow us to conduct a referendum but you still say NO. So many times people in this forum say igbos dont have respect, we insult people alot therefore we dont deserve to produce a president from our region. Just look at how we are scattered all over the country creating major impact in economy yet for some reason we cant be trusted. What is the major insecurity up north if not the mineral resources but you call if farmers herders clash. Just yesterday the president ordered for six months progress report on solid mineral. Gold is being mined for several years up north with no accountability but when an igbo person talk about presidency everybody will on there fit to push us down.

So i am asking what have we done to deserve this level of mockery?

Igbos are suffering for trying to go against the will of God for Nigeria. Nigeria is not to be divided but to become a world power that will protect the black race.

Igbos need to be humble and stop bragging about how they are better and wiser than anyone else in Nigeria.

Then Igbos should embrace Igbos traditional cultures more just like Yoruba and Hausa and minimise their chanting of holy mary that does not help.

Let me point out something quickly for you.. the federal high court in abuja declared yan bindiga and an ta’adda groups and other groups associated with or engaged in the same or similar activities as yan bindiga and yan ta’adda groups as terrorist group yet the federal government refused to recognise these people as terrorist.

Ipob submitted memorandum to the national assembly requesting for devolution of powers and restructuring of Nigeria into six autonomous regions but the issue was never discussed. They went as far as meeting the British for support but they believe in one nigeria. At the process a law firm was hired to debate on this particular issue.

Now i want to ask you a question. How do you elect a representative when president buhari wasted no time in declaring ipob a terrorist group without arms and ammunition. Even the western countries dont recognise ipob as terrorist group yet malami and co are working so hard to convince them.

Buhari is about to leave the presidential seat.

Politics is a long game, and if you are truly serious, then vote representatives that will represent your interests into the national house of assembly. Infiltrate both the upper chamber and the lower chamber.

Start from the grassroots, from your council men to your local governments all the way to your state governments. Give your votes to only the people will represent your interest and within a decade you will get whatever it is you are clamouring for. Anything else is just a waste of time and energy if you can’t play politics then focus on being rich so you can do whatever you want.

Oga what u pointed out is far from reach. The north comprise of 19 states while the south is 17 states. We have northwest, northeast and north central who speak same language. Whereas the southern part speak different languages. If not Obasanjo and Goodluck who else lasted a tenor to contest another election.

Let us go back to the six geophysical zones and allow every region to have autonomy of their resources then pay tax to federal government so that power will be evenly distributed. Dont you understand that 1999 constitution was as scam they dont wish to correct. The other day buhari refused to to sign the amended electoral bill but quickly sign the budget yet both of them have error. He can do whatever he likes because power is not evenly distributed.

Build good relationships with every tribe and they will listen to you. Buhari will vacate the presidential seat in 2023 and he won’t be able to sign anything anymore, you can put people in place to revise everything he has signed. That is how it is done.

Stop wailing and change your self defeatists attitude.
