#Governor Ifeanyi #Ugwuanyi of #Enugu State, accompanied by the State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Vitus Okechi and his team of engineers and surveyors, inspects the ongoing massive developments at Enugu’s biggest #housing project in Africa ‘The New Enugu City’ sitting on 2,667 hectares of land, in three phases, adjacent to Independence Layout, Phase II, Enugu.
The residential housing project, which is being executed by Gov. Ugwuanyi’s administration through the State Ministry of Housing, has ultramodern facilities such as dual carriageway roads of 24m, 15m and 12m widths with over 20 river crossings/culverts, electricity, hospital, potable water, recreational centres, security network, estate plots, civil servants estate, international market, churches, organised open spaces, shopping malls, mixed used development plots and Central Business District (CBD), among others.

The word estate encompasses real estate which are building, empty land (vacant land), and non real estate properties which we call personalty. OP is trying to say that this estate is the biggest bulldozed vacant land estate. It means the land is the biggest deforested land in Nigeria. Maybe they want to use it for farming. Just maybe.

Why only in Nijeeria you will always hear this term.... The Biggest and Largest in Africa just for the news sake...... but in reality the smallest of the small in other countries are far far far more valuable and functional and service oriented more beneficial to everyone including the poorest of the poor...

The Term Biggest and Largest in Africa must stop this year please

We don't want new concrete structures but a modern smart city as being done across major cities and sites around the world...


Enugu has come a long way, from being named among the 100 most resilient cities globally to still being one of the coolest and most beautiful cities in the country, so Gburugburu, we won't settle for less, if you can't build us a smart city better leave it at this proposal stage so a more daring governor can come onboard and pull this off smartly.

Not for farming bro. If you are familiar with Enugu you will understand it's an estate hub. People will buy plots. Government will plan it and put public infrastructure then the buyers will build the houses according to government specifications

Enugu city was lucky to have been founded "in the middle of nowhere" due to coal deposit, making it possible to acquire large expanse of land without affecting villages

From 9th Mile to ugwuoba is a vast empty land. Enough space for future smart cities. Allow gburugburu sell the land he acquired for investors to build as their pocket reach

There is no Naija state without issues. This thread is about real estate development in Enugu and potable water, which is critical for quality living, is not available in the city. Is this too hard for you to understand?
