alphaNomega:well VAT is not something new, if U did not have to pay VAT B4 then the country is losing money we buy on line in the Uk that we pay VAT on, we r not talking about import duty but VAT which is 20%,however you can always claim it back if you are leaving the country but then the seller has to provide a VAT receipt. |

But they can't tax binance because they've already shot themselves in the foot. Nigerians transact more on binance than any other foreign commercial app. Cartoon government. 1 Like 1 Share |

This is highly flawed policy after all we pay for import duties for the physical items we purchases abroad. For services and other digital values FG has no moral right to levy citizens for use of this services from other countries. Because it is not produce in Nigeria. We are even lucky likes of Amazon ships to Nigeria. With this new Policy Amazon will revert to no shipping to Nigeria for they have no time make the adjustment. 4 Likes 1 Share |

edoairways: Is it not Nigerian small businesses and Companies that advertise on FB? Won't they end up passing it into cost of their service so the last user can bear? VAT is a consumer tax and the last person on the line bears it and that's Going to be a Nigerian somewhere 1 Like 1 Share |
