Mark 1:8
As for me, I baptized you [who came to me] with water [only];
but He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit.”

The physical water ritual has nothing whatsoever to do with salvation of the soul
If you need being baptised correctly, then opt for baptism with the Holy Spirit

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.
No bros, water baptism is abstract without holy ghost baptism and holy ghost baptism is abstract without water baptism, remember JESUS said ""you must be born of water and of the spirit"", there is a reason HE mentioned both,

The "burial with Jesus is through baptism which unlocks all the bonuses Christianity brings.

But there's no parable in this chapter, this is an express explanation of the power of God.

You don't get it

Are you dead now? No
Were you buried with Jesus? No

So your literal explanation is faulty

The scripture is full of parables and metaphors, you have to be careful interpreting them

Sad the whole world is decieved. op jesus is actually d sun-god.... the one the Bible warned us about. The Bible was edited by a Freemason. They changed names. Bible is black man history
YourFavEvangeli:
Jesus sent His disciples into the world to do two things:

1. Preach the gospel
2. Baptise those that believe
Mark 16 vs 15-16

Every other thing is a bonus.
Do you believe in Jesus? Do you believe in the resurrection? Do you believe in the rapture? Then you must be baptised.

It's written: He that believeth and is baptised shall be saved... Mark 16 vs 16
If you have the opportunity to be baptised and you refuse to do so, you are in disobedience of the divine mandate.

Baptism is like an announcement, like a heavenly paperwork for your salvation. Baptism shows that you have accepted that Jesus as your Lord and Personal saviour and you are switching from the old life to a Christ filled life. It's an announcement to heaven that you have buried the old you who was headed to hell and you have been ressurected as a new man.

2Chorinthians 5 vs 17: If any man be in Christ, he's a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new

It's a switch from the old foundation to the foundation of Christ.
Baptism is a formality that breaks the legality devils especially foundational powers used to oppress you in the past, baptism breaks ancient inherited convenants. By the law of God, the person who came out of the water is a new man, the old man has been buried.

Have you been baptised?
If no, why? Why wasting time? Why permitting the devil to fight you? It doesn't cost money. The only qualification according to the Bible is: He that BELIEVETH.
Do you believe in Jesus? Are you up to the age of accountability (12yrs)? You can be baptised today or tomorrow even, it's really simple, reach out to your pastor or any Bible believing church and be baptized.

Have you been baptised?
If yes, were you baptised correctly?
Acts 4 vs 12: ... For there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. That is the name of Jesus.
Only baptism in the name of Jesus carries a convenant because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and NO MAN can come to the Father except by Jesus. John 14 vs 6
The key to salvation is the name of Jesus, so when you are immersed into the water, the pastor must decree that you are being baptised in the name of Jesus, that name must be mentioned, that's the key that will open the door to the new testament's convenant.
The name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is Jesus. The apostles all baptised in the name of Jesus. If you were not baptised in the name of Jesus, I'm sorry but you need to do it again, you need to get it right.

You that has been baptised in the correct manner, do you know that you have been set free from foundational curses and yokes?
Do you know that the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death? Romans 8 vs 2, the devil will take advantage and still bind you because you don't even know that you have been set free.
Now that you know, take back your possession by force, make personal confessions with your mouth, decree that you are baptised and therefore you are free.
Tell the devil that you know that he's a thief and a liar and he has overstayed his welcome, command every existing convenant and enchantment standing against you to break and believe it when you pray.
You're like someone who has a million dollar inheritance and still doesnt know it. When you realise it, you go and throw out anyone illegally possessing your inheritance. The impostors will occupy and lord over your ingeritance because they know that you don't know you own that inheritance. When you finally know and come to tell them that you know, they'll deny it, call you names, but when the chips are down, you'll see they have no official document over that inheritance.
It's the same in the spirit, evil generational curses, sickness and diseases, yokes, demonic attacks have no place in your life when you believe and get baptised but until you realise it, they will keep staying there and keep oppressing you.
You have to be baptised correctly, realise the implication of your baptism and enforce your heavenly court order on the illegal occupants of your life.
Know your right in Christ and go tell those illegal impostors that you know your rights now and they have to leave. We overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony Revelations 12 vs 11. Your verbal confessions are highly important and neccessary
Colossians 2 vs 1 - 15

I don't no why you say that religion is a scam. May be from your experience. Well, false religion is a scam. But that Jesus Christ died for you is no scam. The fact that YOU exist is no scam. That you must accept Christ as Lord and Saviour and leave holy so as to enter heaven is no scam. If you do not accept Christ before death or the Rapture you shall surely perish.

YourFavEvangeli:
Very clever response.

1Chor was Apostle Paul settling a dispute in the church where some claim they are of Paul and another set said that they're of Apollos.
Paul simply said he's happy he wasn't the one who baptised them, his duty was to preach not to baptise.

Colossians 2:12 (KJV) Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Romans 6:3-4 (KJV) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The above scriptures are self explanatory, especially Romans 6 vs 3-4. Each of us who is baptised into Jesus are baptised into His death, buried with Him by baptism and signifys that as Jesus who died was raised back to life, we have become dead like Jesus and resurrected to a new life.

Believing in Jesus is the only way into heaven so Mr A will make heaven.

Being baptised in the name of Jesus is essentially neccessary because it enables you legally to exercise the power of God. You can be saved, believe in Jesus and still struggle with demons and enchantments. The devil uses legal grounds in our lives to fight. Baptism eliminates those grounds because before heaven, the person who those convenants were against is dead and you that came out of the water is a new person.

Mr B who believes and isn't baptised in the name of Jesus will still struggle with any existing family deities, evil patterns etc. God is a righteous judge, if there is a legal convenant against that person, demons will use it to afflict Mr B, but when Mr B dies, Mr B will go to heaven because He believes in Jesus.
John 1:33
I did not recognize Him [as the Messiah], but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me,
‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this One is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

Matthew 3:11
“As for me, I baptize you with water because of [your] repentance
[that is, because you are willing to change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret your sin and live a changed life],
but He (the Messiah) who is coming after me is mightier [more powerful, more noble] than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to remove
[even as His slave]; He will baptize you [who truly repent] with the Holy Spirit and [you who remain unrepentant] with fire (judgment).

Acts 1:5
For John baptized with water,
but you will be baptized and empowered and united with the Holy Spirit, not long from now.”

What did Apostle Peter call the falling upon of the Holy Spirit, when he said he remembered John 1:33 above?

YourFavEvangeli, if to be honest, this is just like legalistically and pharisaically insisting on circumcision of the loins.

If you really are well versed and immersed in the word of God and be a good student of 2 Timothy 2:15, you would have noticed that water is not mentioned in Acts 2:38, just as water is not used in you assumed to be versed and immersed in the word of God

Lastly, show me anywhere in the bible of John the Baptist saying, He who comes after me, requires you to be baptised in water

Brah, watch and raptly to this. You can see, experience and feel the power of America, but for you to enter into America, you must meet certain criteria, as no one ordinarily enters America anyhow or just like that.

Going back to the Nicodemus' clandestine private meeting with Jesus above.

At John 3:2, yes, Nicodemus recognised, admitted and confessed that the demonstrated power and move done by Jesus were all of God, but at John 3:3, Jesus informed Nicodemus that, its only a person born from on high or above, which also is known as being 'born again' that is capable of seeing that the demonstrated power and move done by Jesus are all of God, then to buttress the point, Jesus after seeing that Nicodemus, looked puzzled about being told of 'born again' then at John 3:5, went further to explain that its combination criteria to enter the kingdom of God. The decider is born of water (i.e. the amniotic fluid) and born of God (i.e. the Spirit)

We all get born of the Spirit, from the moment will believe. The instalment baptism of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of the Spirit soon after follow in tandem

Re: Why You Must Be Baptised In The Name Of Jesus by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:29pm On Jan 09, 2022
John baptized the Jews (including Jesus) in the name of JEHOVAH (the God of Abraham) WHY?
Because during the first century most Jews have lost faith in their God as two Jews (Theudas and Judas) both claimed they're the Christ emerged one after another and died off without any trace of their existence. Act 5:36-37
So it's like all their hope regarding what the prophets told them about a coming saviour is fake. That's exactly when John the baptist appeared preaching in the wilderness saying "repent for the kingdom of God is at hand" {Matthew 3:2} most Jews as they're confused went to him and because he is also talking about their God they were willing to obey whatever he says, then he began baptizing them in preparation for the coming of the Christ!
The Jewish religious leaders sent messengers to ask him if he's the Christ and to their shocking surprise this one said "NO" so they asked him to identify himself since what he's doing (baptism) is strange to them {John 1:19-22} John made it clear to them that he is the one sent to prepare the way for the Christ! John 1:23-28

Then Jesus came to the Jordan to get baptized and at once God's Holy Spirit touched John so he recognized Jesus instantly he refused to baptize Jesus but Jesus urged him to go ahead and do the needful! Matthew 3:13-17

Jesus later told the Jews that both Theudas and Judas were fraudsters {John 10:8} and he proved to be the Christ to the extent that a prominent member of the Jewish High Court (Nicodemus) confirmed it. John 3:2

But the Jewish religious leaders of the first century doesn't want Jesus because he undermines their position so they conspired to get him killed. John 11:45-53

After his death and resurrection Jesus commanded his disciples to go baptizing new converts in the name of the

Father: the God of Abraham by teaching them all they need to know about this God.

Son: himself and all the things he did and taught.

Holy Spirit: the active force of God that operates in those that believe so that they're able to perform according to expectation.
Matthew 28:19-20

The Jews already knew so much about their own God and His active force through all the mighty works this God did in ancient times that are written in their scriptures. But then they need to put faith in the ransom sacrifice that Jesus just performed in behalf of mankind. So @ Pentecost Peter told the Jews who felt remorseful and bitter due to all what their leaders did to the real Christ {Act 2:37} Peter then urged them to get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ! Act 2:38

WHY did Peter said this?
Well because that's the only name missing in their salvation! smiley

How does one become born again?

The answer is in Romans 10:9-10 which reads;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)

it takes two steps. First believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and that God raised him on the third day to justify you. The second step is to say it with your mouth. So, if you want to be born again, just say this prayer and mean it with your heart;

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you died for me and I believe that God raised you from the dead to justify me. I hereby confess you as my Lord and Personal Saviour from this day hence. Thank you for washing my sins away. I believe I am saved according to your word. Heavenly Father, I am your son from this day henceforth in Jesus name.

Have you been baptised by water immersion in the name of Jesus? If yes, have you received the Holy Ghost?

If no, are you ready to be baptised now? Once you're baptised, I'll pray for you to receive the Holy Ghost and once it comes upon you, YOU ARE BORN AGAIN because you have become born of the water (baptism) and of the spirit (The filling of the Holy Ghost)

Now go and model Christ, be beautiful for Christ, be free, live a life of power and authority, heal the sick, cast out demons. These are the duties of a born again christian

Water baptism has nothing to do with our salvation. And you are only qualified to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit after you are saved. When Jesus said unless one is born of water and of the spirit, he cannot be born again, he was not talking about water baptism. The water there represents the word of God. As you hear the gospel, the Holy Spirit convicts the sinner and he is responds by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.

According to Peter, he wrote;

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, BY THE WORD OF GOD, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:23 )

And Paul likens the word to water in Ephersians 5:26;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD, (Ephesians 5:26 KJV)

You performed very well up to this juncture

John 3:3-7
3Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again
[reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified],
he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.”
4Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old?
He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?”
5Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical], and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Do not be surprised that I have told you, ‘You must be born again [reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’

You pieced together disjointed fragments of information that are in disharmony and fell victim of committing a wanton and unnecessary false equivalence

Look at John 3:6 closely. Watch 'born of the flesh is flesh' and 'born of the Spirit is spirit' there is no way you'll equate -ve and +ve, interpreted to be +ve and +ve, by using by the word of God or washing of water by the Word

John 3:6 is a -ve and +ve, so has to be interpreted as so, meaning -ve (i.e. the water is the amniotic fluid, which when the 'water' breaks birth happens) and +ve (i.e. the Spirit, when birthed to become spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified in the mind, thoughts etc) You have the carnality and spirituality correctly represented that way, and not with the false equivalence you put forward by proof-texting with 1 Peter 1:23 and Ephesians 5:26

By water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

John 3:4-5 (KJV) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The water doesn’t mean water literally bt the word and the spirit. Baptism to the best of my understanding isn’t mandatory to go to heaven.

So what does the water represent

How does one become born again?
By getting baptized for the forgiveness of your sins and the you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:7-38; 22:16

If the baptism is not significant, why did Jesus instruct His disciples to preach and baptise those who believe?

But Christ instructions was for us to be baptised in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit . That does not mean baptising in the name of Jesus is not correct.

The name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus. Show me one apostle who baptised people in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

2 Corinthians 13:1b
... (and as the Scriptures say, “The facts of every case must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses”).

Where and/or when did Jesus explicitly instruct His disciples to preach and baptise with water those who believe?

Provide your reference verse accompanied with at least a witness verse please.

Reigning is living a life of royalty and power, not having a single worry, everything at your finger tips. You don't need pople to bow down to you to show that you are reigning

You still didn't answer my question about the kind of reigning you are thinking about grin grin grin
