Yes I have , and I have started in earnest. Just recently I successfully switched from writing to general transcription. I also sat for a transcription test with a reputable European company and was selected to transcribe for them . Soon, I hope to start earning in foreign currency so as to win this war against the Naira.

None for now. I am cash trapped. I hope before the second half of the year, I will have some tangible progress.

I am currently volunteering with an NGO on basic content writing. No stipend, but I am harnessing the experiences and expanding my networks. Although it is not easy to be trekking to the location with an empty stomach. But with my tenacity and drive for financial liberation, I am sure I will stand twice tall as the year runs out.

On a lighter note, if I get a scholarship for my masters, I will use my content writing skills to support myself in school and increase my financial puddle.

Bros it is not easy wallahi. But if you can start with QA world or Scribie , you should pull through . Just make sure you have a PayPal account. Initially the pay will be super lousy (imagine transcribing a 60 minute audio file for 12 hours only to be paid $15), but as you progress, you will get the hang of it and improve.

I have done QA but left because they now pay peanuts. So I already have the experience, I just need a platform that accepts Nigerians. A 60 minutes audio shouldn't take up to 12hrs though, unless the audio is extremely bad.

Have you done Babble or HappyScribe ? They accept from all over but the challenge is getting in .

And by the way, how much were you able to make during your QA-world days ?

I haven't done any of that 2. I made about $2700 before Arlen went haywire with her team.

Not a month ooo, Even Arlen can't do that. Anyway, what's the pay rate like for the two you mentioned?

Scribie is almost like QA-world but there is work . If you are committed, could earn a minimum of $300 on a monthly basis. But if you are into transcription and editing and QA , you could make over $1200 a month .

As for HappyScribe, they the average pay is €450 a month but if you are into QA and editing you could make €3000 a month . All depends on your commitment and work speed .

But how many months did it take you to make $2700 with Qa-world? I could barely make up to $100 in my first month because of my typing speed

I made that in about a year, though I wasn't consistent in it then. It was just a part-time stuff and when I had time for it was when they dropped their rate. Thanks for the information, let me go and research about these two companies you mentioned.

Boss, please, how were you able to create a paypal account without those limitations that come with being a Nigerian

I am still having issues with that o. Someone once said I should create a US PayPal account but the truth of the matter is that it will get flagged , especially if you do not live in the country of which you claim to be in .

Bros, no deceive people for here with those stories of having no issues with PayPal. We all know that Paypal is not stupid, and they will flag the account whenever they like because they can track and know your location even if you use RDP. So put business aside and help people genuinely, but if you cannot , leave them and don't complicate the issue

Hashabiah, is it hard to get into Scribie? I mean passing the test and do you think the pay is worth the stress for a beginner?

Bros, if you are in this for the money ,then I am sorry to say you will not make much because transcription is not a well-paying career . But having the experience will help you in moving up the ladder to work for higher paying transcription services that offer better. To pass the entry exams into Scribie requires reading and understanding the style guides, but you will have to enhance your skills to make it there. For example, if you combine transcription with editing services , you could make about $700-$1000 a month. This may not be much but it is better than what some jobs in Nigeria pay graduates . Lastly, try and register on multiple sites so as to increase your work flow and pay . I know some transcriptionist who make over $3000 a month . But no be beans

I want to grow my business. Last year I quit my job, got payday loans in Texas online and started my own business. It was my best decision and I am so happy now. The main thing I want to tell you, don't be afraid of something new. It's not that easy to make lifestyle changes but it leads to success.

I've always had a thing for charts and I'm glad I have learnt, grown and made money doing what I enjoy (financial trading/Investing).

My goal for the year 2022 is to get at least a 100x on at least half of my portfolio.

E don set wink
