Unspecific number of people have died after a building housing Salvation Ministry, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State reportedly collapsed.

As at the time of this report, it is gathered that over 10 worshippers have d!ed so far.

The building which is being used for the first time, reportedly collapsed at about 5:55pm during Tuesday evening service.

It is gathered that about eight persons have been rescued unhurt, while four persons have been rushed to the Asaba Specialist Hospital for medical attention.

Reports says worshippers, family members and sympathizers were crying as efforts were on to rescue other victims.

As at the time of filing this report, Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Chief Patrick Ukah, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Ononye Mordi, team of Red Cross officers, and fire fighters were on ground on a rescue mission.

The last time I think I saw a trauma in a church in Ibadan was an arm robber who came inside the church to scare us after a failed robbery, shot in the air and down and walked away, now inside the church, I know how many believers wound I mean serious wound wey be say if the arm robber read the report from the church Hin no go believe say Na the church wey hin knock enter knock comot Na hin get this kin injury.

Churches would never fix Nigeria......... Neither would prayers.......

If religion worked, African would not be mostly screwed..........

Some would blame God now for the deaths

But the thing is, God has said many times that we must obey rules and regulations, and the fact is , the builders and developers did not obey rules and regulations on building a safe building and as a result, this is what has happened.

If God came and saved our backs everytime a badly built building collapsed, we won't grasp the importance of building houses and other types of buildings properly because God will save our asses when the buildings collapse

So, blame the builders and developers and everyone directly involved in the construction. They so did not do well. See the results of their sin.

Until Engineers in charge of collapse buildings are prosecuted and sentenced, we might continue witnessing more incident.

Sad. Second pix suggests the building was under renovation. RIP to the dead.

Lord have mercy.

The building is still under renovation and they are already worshiping there. Obviously the intial intended use of the structure has been altered and it is being subjected to additional load and vibration .
This could be the cause of the collapse amongst others. Safety first always.
Really sad.
