BIGBANNNG411: Your answer to question 2 is wrong. The correct answer is 60%. To solve it, just divide 3/5 = 0.6 0.6 * 100 = 60%. Inversely, multiple 3 by 0.6, it will give you 5. In a lay man's hand, half of 3 is 1.5. So, 50% increase would have been 4.5 lane if that was possible. But here, we have 5 lanes. So, the score is expected to be higher than 50%, so the correct answer is 60%. I don't know if 60% option is there because I solved this maths before taking the test and still chose 40% out of tension. 1 Like |

I think the answer is 40% . They said the avarage number of car for a three lane is 95. Total number of car in the lane would be 3*95=285. But the lane was increased to five it shld be 285/5=57 So each lane now has an average of 57 cars. So reduction in traffic would be 95-57=38 % reduction would be 38/95*100=40%. From my own understanding but maths can be funny at times. 3 Likes |

BIGBANNNG411: Lol. This is wrong, I can't remember properly but if 67 was in the options then that's the correct answer. For a 3 lane car = 3 x 95 = 285 For a 5 lane car = 5 * 95 = 475 % reduction = (new - old)/old x 100% Hence = 475 - 285/285 x 100 = 190/285 × 100 = .6667 × 100 = 67% Anyways you guys tried. I didn't have time to solve. I just looked at the options and realised that a 3 lane increase to a 5 lane has to be at least a 60% reduction in traffic. |
Re: 2022 Nigerian Breweries Graduate Management Development Scheme Discussion Thread by BIGBANNNG411: 10:55am On Feb 08, 2022 |
Calculux95: Bros, on the 3 lanes average number of cars is 95. On a 5 lane, the number of cars will remain the same. Therefore since 95 cars on each lane on 3 lane. Total number if cars would be 95×3= 285. On a 5 lane. Since cars will not increase. Average number of cars will be 285÷5 = 57. Alaye calculux take it from there. 2 Likes |

Calculux95:You are correct, but telling you the average number of cars is just to distract you. That’s not a necessary parameter. It’s just a percentage increase from 3 to 5 And the answer is 67% . It was a speed test, not some deep maths questions, most of the answers to the math questions could be gotten by just 1 punch of calculator. 3 Likes 1 Share |
