Pot hole?... really?... take a good look at the second picture..... look at the foundation of the road..... and then look at the wall and house in the background.... then look back at the road again. We should learn something about the people in that neighbourhood. 1 Like |

TjoBATHONG: Bro.... that's not a pot hole. That's a dug out area .... either the bricks were removed to build house/wall ... or dug out to rebuild the side wall ... but... bricks are missing from that section. 1 Like |

TjoBATHONG: You're absolutely correct!... you observed more than I did!... it is a driveway... and no doubt they are doing over the entrance! 1 Like |

It seems Nigeria is one of the few African countries where roads are demanded from the government. Majority of the eastern region of the continent has non-existent roads and the people see nothing wrong with it. I’m shocked to see worse roads than our garden variety in South Africa of all places. Benin City is one Nigerian location where backward indigenes encourage their leaders to leave roads unpaved. They claim it maintains the ancient status of the place. Meanwhile local government chairmen siphon the allocated capital for road-building, directing them to burgeoning families consisting of multiple wives. |
